Can we talk about these shiny drop rates?
Im not saying that they need to be incredibly common or in anyway guaranteed. What i am saying is that 200+ drops and not a single shiny drop is actually insane. Like i get its supposed to be rare but at this rate i wont get a single drop for half the weapons by the time the shiny drop disappears when the final shape launches. At this rate its not even worth grinding for.

3 通の返信Same, I have friends that just started playing into the light and already have more shiny drops than me. I am definitely not going to have any of the shiny drops I want before June 3rd at this rate. And I am a grinding this out so hard. There’s literally nothing more I can do. All my clan mates are telling me how they keep getting them to drop and here I am with literally two drops in the span of almost two weeks. My friend got one from an Arcite bounty, but I turned in the max 15 and not one. He turned in his first one and got it. What gives?

But why can’t the extra chest at the end of a Legend 50 wave run drop ONE guaranteed shiny? It’ll give people enough incentive to stay for the full 50 waves instead of dipping after 10-20, and that shinys will be a LITTLE bit more attainable for everyone (although you will have to complete one of the hardest activities in the game CONSTANTLY to get the best farming odds for you). It’s honestly a win-win for most everyone involved. [i](Edited for clarity.)[/i]

1 返信They clearly were disingenuous about the “ massive amount of drops “ quote when they are “ buffing “ drops 2 weeks in lol Also the shinys are a troll because they don’t look better in many cases and very few have 2 super relevant/must have perks in both columns. Also Bungie said they are looking into blocking certain op double combos or changing the way they work. But of course they will do it after the event and everyone has already spent all their time farming. Any vets know exactly how this goes.

2 通の返信It's RNG. Random Number Generation. It's not RNG if Bungie guarantees a shiny drop every X amount of drops. Personally I had 4 drops in my first 6 drops, including a shiny recluse while doing the first quest, and no shiny since. It's just the way RNG works.

Bungie literally has coding so that the more you play, the less likely it is to get what you want. They do this because they know you will continue to play. New players, returning from break and very casual players wil tend to have better drop rates to keep them close to your earning the same weapons, exotics etc. Be nice to be a higher drop rate but, lets face it.. does it matter what is on the outside? its what it does that actually matters. If it works, I don't care if it looks like a twig or worse.. a big black tire iron.. if it works.. I will use it.

1 返信I am sure shines ones is rare to get. I still wonder shine ones is for enchantments than normal ones. If so, I hope bungie fix problem for shine ones if players get up 50th waves on normal (1 shine) or legend (two shines) for open chest.

Seriously. I’ve been grind the ish out of this activity, other than time gated stuff - I have the title completed, all quests completed, and Shaxx maxed out and I’ve only had a single drop. The worst part is my single drop was from a rank up package - not in the activity and it wasn’t the weapon I had attuned. I’ve been grinding normal and legendary 10’s and normal and legendary 50’s with zero drops. I completely understand Bungie wants these drops to be rare and exciting - but the current drop rate is worse that the original drop rate for 1000 voices.

A clanmate of mine once said, drop rates are 50/50. Either you get it, or you don't. Which makes sense, but him going into any activity with that mentality has worked for him and he tends to get them quickly

Hoping that if they add these "Shiny" weapons and slap FOMO on it, they could inflate their Numbers and get people to play again Until Finale Shape. Bungie was sitting at 20-30k Players on Steam, that can be very reflective on PS and Xbox, saying Bungie was Losing players players bad and fast. The Update only got them to 90k at Most, but ive been seeing it trickle back down. The Drop rates are low, to keep you playing, it instill FOMO, 99.8% sure they wont alter it till 3-2 weeks out from Finale Shape. Edit: Update brought in 100k+ Players, they are now sitting at 70-80k Players according to Steam.

4 通の返信One thing I read in posts like this from others that reply isn't even remotely close to what the issue you are describing and others. You guys talk about the low drop rates from shiny weapons, and they reply with, "Well, you get 2 chests and 11 drops and materials and cores." Ummm, are we even on the same page? lol? No one is saying there isn't enough loot dropping. What op and others that are making threads like this are saying the shiny drops are too low. And I might not have grinded as much as some of you, but I haven't seen 1 single shiny drop yet. The only one I have is from the bounties. So yes, the shiny drops are low, even the top streamers are complaining about it lol

Not tryna brag but I've gotten 2 shiny recluse, 2 shiny Elsie rifle, and 2 hung jury to drop. Idk what ive done to get them to drop besides just grind onslaught. Hopefully bungie fixes the drop rates at some point.

ATM i'm rank 6/17 and the #1 thing i'm looking forward to getting b4 final shape is the superblack shader. But yeah, increase the drop rate a little for the peeps grinding.

Shiny is cosmetic. Shiny should be an ornament. Replace random “shiny” drops with adept weapons. Make them rare just like shiny currently is. Shiny should just be a weapon ornament for said Brave weapons that we can farm for. Once received once, you should be able to apply it to any of the normal weapons that drop. For example, once you collect the Brave ornament for Recluse once, you can then apply said ornament to any Recluse weapon. Adept versions of the Brave weapons should be guaranteed after completing 50 waves. Completing 50 waves of legendary should award an early “enhanced” version of adept Brave weapons that already has the perks enhanced by default. Problem solved. Everyone is happy. Win-Win for everyone!
