Just for context, I did win the match, and this isn’t a rage message. It’s a genuine opinion.
Arc titans gain a shield in front of them when sprinting. Blocks all precision damage, and shield-gates, so you could shoot them with a rocket and it wouldn’t kill. Yes, this did happen.
Next, they have Peregrine which lets them one-shot shoulder charge you. So what have we got so far? Running with close-to-immortality for a short duration, followed by a one-shot melee. That needs a nerf.
I’d say, keep the shoulder-charge the same, as well as Peregrine. Remove the shield-gating ability from the frontal shield.

(or other zoning nades like vortex nade) That's whats wrong with this community players would rather whine instead of coming up with counters (void titan cough cough).

Those aren’t even what I’d say is really broken about arc Titan. Strong but not broken. Broken implies something being unfair. 2 ability charges to use, an aspect and an exotic all for that one easy kill with a 45 sec cooldown. Base shoulder charge blinds, 9x out of 10 this leads to extremely easy cleanups anyways. Especially if you catch someone off guard. Peregrine is nice for supers, but that’s about it. Seismic slam combined with knockout allows for the Titan to slam and instantly melee again at a range that other players can’t match. This basically forces you to use a shotgun or rapid fusion to counter and you need to anticipate. It’s also one of the easiest combos to do. So yeah, jugg and perigrines are strong but not necessarily what I think needs looking at on Arc Titan.

Yawn... titan arc have been nerfed enough. You forget it was wasn't long ago that the whole subclass was nerfed all at once not so long ago. Not to mention the dozens of nerfs it had before that since 3.0 I'm surprised you're not a hunter main, that's usually there tune. Warlocks have at least 2 shutdown supers, they almost fly out of the map with dawn blade. How about you just get good or go home

Kinda tired of nerfs. I think all classes deserve one or two utilities that are kinda OP. This is destiny. After all, space magic and abilities are kind of their identity. As a player who plays all 3 characters even though I'm a hunter main. I say no thanks to nerfing one of the few things titan has for them. Even though it's pvp and I don't really care for pvp, but bungie has a bad habit of nerfing things in pve and pvp.

8 通の返信Ahh yes nerf the one of the only things titans have competitively …… we need to look at something here titans only get that over shield while full sprinting and when the over shield is gone it consumes their class ability “aspect of the juggernaut”. On top of that we need an exotic in order to 1 hit melee…… you need to have been at full sprint and in the air for at least 1 sec in order to proc peregrine for the one shot, the tracking is inconsistent half of the time. Void titan also has more overshield utility and is able to do the same thing ( solar titan can use peregrine as well) however when hunters and warlocks are able to sidestep many of what we titans have to throw at them. Make a Titan character and try the build.

I say you should thank that Titan that had the good grace to take time out of his day to shoulder charge you out of your daze. A sharp wake up call back to reality to remind you to always keep one eye on your radar😁 But then I would say that😂 👊🏻

rrrhinoにより編集済み: 4/14/2024 12:46:05 PMJug shield makes you sacrifice your most valuable and most impactful ability on Titan - barricade IMO the greater evil is void Titan because of the easy access to overshields which do not have any downside to activating - if you are playing normally on Titan you would be putting down your barricade almost every time it is off cool-down in order to gain map control. Arc Titan is now more of a brawler class with knockout and the hard hitting nades - a very fun class if you know how to use it well. I feel it requires a lot more skill to get value out of than void Titan.

3 通の返信The shield gets destroyed by very low dmg output from your primary. Then the titan loses his barricade as well. If you die to titans doing straight lines with this ability you deserve to be killed tbh. As for perregrine greaves. Its basically a "kill me once with it then it will never work again because i will expect it" These things are noob killers tough.

2 通の返信I’ve shot many titans who rush with the shield and always net a free kill. It might be a connection error on your end, because a rocket will definitely kill the little overshield they get.

I've literally never seen the shield tank anything more than a high impact fusion burst. Also, compared to what it used to be the tracking on aerial Shoulder Charge is so inconsistent any Hunter or Blink Warlock can just jump over them, and they'll whiff. Barring crap connections/host priority of course.

Warlock void melee yeet him away .stompees jump over them .any sub class on titan deploy your own shield an let them run through it. .warlock well freeze them .under an over great underrated perk . Shield disruption makes for easy clean up .warlock stasis turret or cold snap grenade them .shatterdive them .suspend them .strand spider man away .Icarus dash away .grab heavy .run away 🤣 🤣

Honestly after the last batch of nerfs and the nerf to antaeus people stopped complaining about Arc Titan. It probably helps now that people are forced to use their primary more which is like the number 1 weakness of a juggernaut shield. Plus now there's downsides before juggernaut could be gained every like 10 seconds but now it's more like every 40 with max stats combine that with how useful barricade is for controlling points which is like the number 1 priority in gamemodes like Trials and you sacrifice something for a 40 hp overshield that against primaries is basically just 1 extra shot worth of hp.

That needs a nerf.” Not close to immortality saying that just shows you’ve never tried playing the subclass in your life and perigrines was also nerfed fairly recently requiring you to be in the air for a decent amount of time also balencing that exoic (Hey other classes have obk abilities too you see the titans moaning about it)
