I'm mainly a solo player and as a solo player I often played GMs. I loved playing the old GMs which Bungie decided to take out the seasonal rotation. All we have now are these battlegrounds GMs because Bungie lacks the creativity or innovation to give us new strikes...or maybe they're just lazy and just don't care.
Whatever the reason is, Battlegrounds GMs are just DOG -blam!- and they should have never been made into GMs. This is why I don't do GMs anymore because battleground GMs are just bad. Only content creators like them but that's who bungie supports now, not the player community.
Today I did the cosmodrome nightfall on Hero mode and it was insanely difficult. It felt like I was doing one of the old GMs and my character had no shields or protection whatsoever because the current mods don't offer much protection. I quit and stop playing...it was not worth playing and spending 35 minutes on hero mode. I don't understand why Bungie feels they need to make all the activities in the game super difficult. Players just want to get their loot and move on. How are you going to retain new players in the game Bungie when all your activities are insanely difficult...have you guys thought this trough? New player will quit the game due to the difficult content and will not buy your DLCs.. they'll just move on to better games.

2 通の返信I believe it wouldn't be as much of an issue if our levels mattered again. You make the game harder by actually making it harder, not by weakening the player on top of the modifiers taking it a step further, there's a difference even if the result is the same. And if they want us to live out a power fantasy, it's also a contradiction. Let's look at everything our levels matter in: Trials Normal raids Normal dungeons Patrols except for Neomuna Normal exotic missions on the rotations Non-playlist strikes/ BGs Dares And normal campaign Everything else worth doing caps us at the recommended level or up to -25. The only things that almost do it right are activities like the Coil, and even that starts us off at -5. Either they should do away with the level cap and keep the modifiers or get rid of the modifiers and keep the level cap.

8 通の返信I just do Hero NFs. And yes, something is off about Cosmodrome PSI OPs BG. At the beginning of the season, it was overly cranked and days later it was replaced with Heist BG Moon. Cosomodrome came back, readjusted, but still a bit cranked than it should be. All other BGs are fine. I completed my 9 but it wasn't chill and I didn't want to play extra. Players not understanding the Relic in The Corrupted is nothing compared to this. I just want to know why. This better not be a test or Lab for higher difficulty for Into The Light.

2 通の返信Bungie killing the power fantasy so much over the years with their nerfs to everything is why I've shifted some of my time back into Warframe. As the power fantasy is very fun once your foot is through the door.

My only problem with battle grounds as GMs, is they are often designed to be more difficult, so that you need to unlock seasonal vendor upgrades to make them easier. For instance all the traps in the saraph heists BG could be deactivated if you unlocked the upgrades. However at the end of the season the upgrades were removed. Also some BGs have infinite enemies unless you advance, where as strikes have wave limits so you can ad clear then do the objective or dps.

2 通の返信This is why there are also easier activities that give you similar rewards. The only real reason to do gms is for golf balls which drop from many other sources. These include but are not limited to: The coil Master nfs Legend dares Master dungeons Master raids Season pass Wish token thingies Rahool You do not need to do gms, and with a little more practice you will likely find them to be a cake walk. I walked into a gm testing a build and almost accidentally did the whole thing solo (which conveniently happened to be the moon battleground gm) it is simply a skill issue, or too much a desire to get mediocre weapons rather than their slightly worse counterpart. There has to be something for new players (which there is no short supply of) and something fir veterans (which is nonexistent without the magic of lowman raids and solo dungeons)

1 返信I don’t understand why bungie are ridiculous right now. They can vault the battlegrounds and bring back some old strikes alone like pyramidion and the festering core on io, savathun’s song on titan. tree of probabilities and a garden world in mercury, strange terrain will of thousands from mars and broodhold from tangled shore. If they can bring back old destinations for seasonal content then they can definitely bring back old strikes. Stupid battleground strikes, vault these and give us back the old strikes.

It’s because most of the Battlegrounds that were added during Season of the Seraph were some of the first PvE activities that were designed to be harder. Elitists were whining that PvE wasn’t hard enough and that they wanted more ad density in higher level content so Bungie gave them just that: A supposedly low level PvE activity that they pumped up to make a 1600 activity feel more like a 1780 activity. So then the Legend mode felt like a 1830 activity and now the GM mode just feels like Nightmare mode. The same thing applies to Neomuna. BGs are already designed to be more difficult than every other activity in its category (that being strikes.) On top of that, they did no tuning when giving us a GM version. So since BG strikes are more difficult than any other strike, naturally GM BGs will be more difficult than any other GM.

I do NOT do “battlegrounds” PERIOD. Strikes or Nightfalls. A battleground shows up while doing strikes, automatically to orbit no matter who is with me. This crappy game mode SHOULD have stayed its own playlist; but no one was running them so Bungie got butt hurt about it and put them in the Strike playlist to TRY and make people do them. NOPE. To orbit it is. EVERY time they show up.

Destiny has always inherently been a fireteam focused game, if anything power creep has made GMs far too easy. Why does Bungie censor the weirdest stuff “W h 0. W e f u s e” how is that something that needs to be censored 🙄

I think the structure of the activity is flawed. I think nightfall should be a difficulty option for every strike at all times The rotation is limiting the player's freedom to play what he wants, how he wants And also rewards that actually feel rewarding and not because of the scarcity of the reward. like actual awesome, unique weapons and gear and why not nightfall exotics you know.

You can complete activities. It just takes a lot of hiding, peaking out and chipping away at bullet sponges for a few minutes, all while risking it one shot insta killing you, and then shooting at your ghost for the next 2 minutes making a revive impossible.

I'm really not sure why they are tuned as such. This lack of difference in difficulty is really noticed on the battleground nightfalls. Again, I can clear them no problem, but I notice my fireteam dying 24/7 because they obviously aren't expecting such a drastic difficulty increase from vanguard ops. At the very least, hero nightfalls need to be adjusted

3 通の返信I did hundreds of GM's until the battlegrounds. Boring, repetitive.... I'll play to get the adept weapons, but I don't really have fun or care to gilder my conquerer.
