There is no reason to have all these raids and dungeons on specific rotations. I'd like to be able to help people get stuff. But it usually gets met with *it's not on rotation*. Which kills the want to play. And then when it does go on rotation, there are other things to play or do, so it just gets missed. Repeating the cycle.
This is so frustrating, and I don't understand the point considering how terrible the player count is atm. Just let us play what we want.

4 通の返信Unfortunately Bungie figured out that FOMO keeps people playing... FF7 Rebirth just launched, but don't play that as you'll miss the Guardian Games! Want a specific weapon from a raid? Clear the raid as many times as you can to get the drop before the raid is gone! Want this god-roll weapon? We'll give it to Banshee-44... But only until the next reset! Destiny 2 relies heavily on FOMO.

8 通の返信The low player count is the exact reason why this rotator needs to exist. If there was an absurdly high amount of players, all content could be farmable all the time and there would be no issue. The low player count means that if those few players were spread out between a ton of different raids and dungeons, the amount playing any given dungeon or raid would probably be too low to consistently get a fireteam together. The rotator funnels people into specific content. If i get on and feel the itch to do a raid, whatever is in rotation is consistently going to have people playing it. The same could not be said without a rotator, because without the rotator, if I have no specific raid in mind that I want to do and I just pick one at random, the chances of their being more than a few fireteams for me to look at is abysmally low.

8 通の返信The fact you don’t understand the point of rotations says enough about you. If even 1% of the people on these forums worked on the game, Destiny would have been dead so long ago.

Everyone here defending anything outside of MAYBE a 3 week rotation is clueless. They absolutely do not “ consolidate “ players. It takes a player who gets on ready to raid back off the game for up to 6 weeks and they lose interest in their goal in the meantime. They never get back on. Bungie is just trying to pad log ins because if players could get on and do what they wanted the lack of content in the this game would drive log ins even lower. Everyone who has a group of friends with all the active raid titles will attest to this. You and your friends simply don’t play or don’t raid. No Sherpas no nothing. Unless someone happens to need a Sherpa and the raid they need is that weeks.

* All raids/dungeons farmable at all times * Master mode available at all times on every raid and dungeons will have master availablilty based on dungeon keys so either Duality/Spire will be Master and either Ghosts/Warlords would have master available in any given week. * Featured raid/dungeons drop more loot (double/triple drops per encounter) * Featured raid has all raid challenges available That's all they need to do.

11 通の返信IcyHorizonsにより編集済み: 3/5/2024 12:30:20 AMThe rotator is fine. This gives each raid or dungeon time to actually be played again with the intent of being farmable. The ONLY downside is that when people are finished with doing all the dungeons and have what they need, they no longer want to do it, even if it is helping other players. Besides, we as a community have asked for Bungie to put in a weekly featured raid in Destiny 1 and everyone loved the idea. It's no different here in Destiny 2.

Bungie: “Play to what best fits your style” (D1. Day 1) Also Bungie: “YOU WILL PLAY HOW WE TELL YOU TO PLAY AND YOURE GONA LIKE IT!!! Also if you dare criticize us our forum ninjas will chat ban you faster than -blam!- jails reporters”

1 返信Whoa just a minute there! Play what we want? Do what we want? That goes against company policy.

1 返信Just let us all play any part of the game at any time we want. Doing otherwise at this point is just silly. Id play more if I could raid when I want, the raid I want etc.

1 返信Agreed The community asked for older content to be featured, but like an evil genie, Bungie has to take something away to give something All master modes should be available all times All raids and Dungeons should be farmable at all times

The rotation system is fine but they're letting it get too bloated - we've already ran into that issue with it being almost 2 months per raid/dungeon and once the exotic rotator gets updated with TFS it'll be 5-6 weeks per mission. Once a rotation hits x amount of activities in it (ie raids/dungeons currently have 7) with almost half not having master modes it should be split into 2 and the master modes always available.

2 通の返信A very basic way to put things but :- The core game becoming bloated and unmanageable from a maintenance perspective were reasons Bungie gave when they introduced DCV. Active content has to be handled / arbitrated plus networking overheads and Bungie will probably be managing the game so that it lives within a contracted network bandwidth. Exceeding designed / contracted bandwidth limits could cause instability in the game, horrible lag spiking where teleporting mobs would be the least problem. We can't just have unlimited vault space for similar reasons but it's primarily down to the way the game is coded and the connectivity it utilises that imposes the boundries.

I don’t see any reasons why rotations matter considering pinnacle drops haven’t mattered for an entire year. The grind for red borders maybe but that’s really it. Red borders don’t even exist in dungeons(besides a singular exception that can come to mind) and artifice armor post lightfall’s release doesn’t hold the same value.

Filling with randoms or finding lfgs would become more difficult as the remaining members of the community are stretched thin. So they concentrate people's effort.
