Getting a heavy case of deja vu right now, since this is basically what folks at Activision said about Bungie when they were working together.

1 返信It doesn’t take a president of a corporation to figure out the management at Bungie stinks. Bungie has done nothing but ruin this franchise by purposely under delivering to their paid customers and being arrogant enough to think their paying customers would just keep paying for it. Now that they’re on their heels I imagine there will be lots of discussion about Bungie’s poor & toxic business practices. Bungie is better when they’re taking orders from a parent company and letting people that know what they are doing steer the ship.

The problem with Bungie is, they're like the kid who went to school Monday and got assigned a project that was to be turned the following Monday. So Sunday night at bedtime when everything is closed is running around in panic because it's due the first thing next morning. Sony is going to be the Parent that steps in and and makes sure it's 100% done way before the deadline. AND, If they don't shape up Sony will most likely take over Bungie and either developed Destiny themselves or Gut the company and sell off Destiny to the Highest bidder and write it off as a Loss on their Taxes
Getting a heavy case of deja vu right now, since this is basically what folks at Activision said about Bungie when they were working together.
MSFT vibes too, it's why Halo 2 shipped in the state it did. It's nice to see that some of the old company culture still remains from "back kn the day".

This was for the shareholders. One could have addressed this criticism in private too, but Totoki made it official, which is like a dissuasion. "However, I also felt that there was room for improvement from a business perspective with regard to areas such as the use of business expenses and assuming accountability for development timelines." It means, don't waste your resources and work harder. Something like this happened, not for the first or the second time. I see this neutral, but Bungie's actions speak for themselves - so loud and clear that they reached the Director of Sony.

5 通の返信Bungie just added difficulty until it broke the game play down to the no fun zone. The poor choices of nerfs and added difficulty across the board has turned the game into a dead horse right out of the gate. Sure you can grind your way through the poor decisions bungie made. But there are way to many games now that puts bungie in a tough spot . Players are leaving and nothing will bring the game back as it once was . They want the final disaster to be great. But at this point nobody's going to care. The damage is already done. Whoever thought this was a good idea ,I'm sure regrets it.

5 通の返信Sonys mad they overpaid for bungie. Now the Sony president is talking about Sony exclusives going on all platform at some point cuz they need the money. They made 13blilion but only $680 million was a profit. That’s wild . Step it up bungie!

17 通の返信This time they don't have as much leeway as they were with Activision, Sony might go straight for the throat and demand the return from their investment (3.6 billion isn't a small number)

6 通の返信Source if you don’t mind? Regardless of the source id say the owner is accountable and bungie would be responsible. Sony did not sufficiently manage bungie’s performance , and maybe they should.

31 通の返信The Hermit IXにより編集済み: 2/21/2024 8:17:03 PMYeah forced timelines are not in the best interest of players. So we wind up getting unfinished content. A problem that plagues gaming in general. It’s in the best interest of profits though. As far as expenses, that’s a direct negative to the employees and the players. Corners cut to maximize profits. So while I’m sure Bungie could do a lot better at managing their resources, I view this as a negative from a consumers point of view. It’s certainly nothing the player base should be celebrating because we are the ones that will ultimately suffer not Bungie or Sony. Strange you only posted the second half of what he said and removed the positive parts.

2 通の返信Maybe they should stop chopping everything up and putting it back together again then releasing it in parts and selling the others as DLC.

23 通の返信Full quote directed at Bungie Management “However, I also felt that there was room for improvement from a business perspective with regard to areas such as the use of business expenses and assuming accountability for development timelines. I hope to continue the dialogue and come up with some good solutions.” So not holding themselves accountable and wasting money. But, he had high praise for workers at Bungie… “I visited the Bungie studios and had meetings with [the] management,” he said, “and I saw that employees working at the studios were highly motivated, showing great creativity as well as an impressive knowledge of live services.”

4 通の返信Looks like hell divers has turned a few heads ! Bungie we’re kind are the leaders with on line but now we have other companies coming into the light . Current players numbers are 27, 000 , I mean that’s crazy low compared to other games right now . Something has to give sooner or later .
