Bungie care to explain why shoulder charge is so -blam!- inconsistent (pvp)?
-Goes through enemy players
-Peregrine greaves bonus damage fails to apply even after being airborne for long enough for it to activate
-SC animation stops in front of enemy players when they slightly change their position or even jump
-Melee energy is consumed and no damage is applied
-Fails to track enemies when they are clearly in range and very little off to the side.
I’m not asking for a buff. More of a QoL update because is so frustrating when its inconsistency makes you a free kill
Just my two cents.

4 通の返信Shoulder Charge: 180 against an enemy 20 feet in the air. Also Shoulder Charge: Whiffs and deals 0 damage against someone standing still.

2 通の返信Solar Titan main now. Run Consecration. I’ve killed 3 guardians with one melee. More than I could ever kill with Greaves equipped… Sad times.

Everything at close range does this weird stuff at times. It’s most obvious with swords for me — it looks extra weird when you clearly swipe into your opponent and… nothing! Sometimes I make multiple swipes just to be sure (wasting ammo in the process). I assume it’s lag causing your view of what’s happening to be slightly out of sync with another player.

26 通の返信Oh no, your 1 shot melee ability doesn’t hit every time… Nothing in this game works 100% of the time, all things being considered, shoulder charge is one of the more consistent and forgiving melees.

6 通の返信Why are you relying so hard on shoulder charge? Once again, a bad pvp player wants to cheese everything.

1 返信As a Titan main I can confirm, working as intended, most attempted melees are destined to whiff into a wall. Lag and enemies with inconsistent internet causing rubber-banding enemies that can't be punched is normal, at this point the Titan melee should be known as the Titan Whiff, its a feature at this point.

1 返信Make sure you sprint extra long for peregrine. It requires 2 seconds of sprinting and .5 seconds of airborne time, the extra two seconds are a leftover bug from the 30th anniversary.
