The restricted respawn areas with tough bosses are frustrating, not challenging. To put this in the main storyline was a mistake. Doubt I'll be back or buy the final release.
Too bad....I've been a loyal player since D1.
I ran a raid once but that was not "fun". Never liked crucible and rarely only ran that for "participation" rewards. No grandmaster missions. All that said, I still enjoyed playing the main storyline.
Big mistake Bungie. Farewell to all.
UPDATE: my issue with this is the restricted respawn. Getting killed is not the issue. I'll get 2 of the bosses then miss a stinking platform jump and have to start over again. As I said ... Frustrating. I play to enjoy the game, not get pissed off. Again, putting this in the main storyline was a mistake. Take out the restricted respawn and I would work through it.
The fact that I don't play raids or PVP is not the issue. I only mentioned it to emphasize my reason for playing is the main storyline. Bungie got my money and support just for that. I'm not complaining about what don't run. That's my choice and optional as far as I'm concerned.
Finally, the gitgood comments are really worthless.
Good luck to those that understand. To the trolls... glad I was able to give you something new to complain about.

Constellation Wish - week 4 - Stuck on this weeks 5 of 5 - Ive ran it three times this week - Tired of no results Exotic Quest - Starcrossed Jump Puzzles , coils booby traps, and their Mechanics all rated ................. " Experts , or Hunters Only " Exotic quests Should not be excessively " Indiana Croft Tomb Jones " " Like lots of Raids and Dungeons are .... Lets keep the REDONKULOUS levels of Jump Puzzle Dufficultys with Moving Walls And Spikes coming out of the ground - TO RAIDS AND DUNGEONS For overall player.... IMO Corrupted, other Dreaming City areas, Hypernet GMs, Ascend Challenges, etc all contain borderline fun jump puzzle difficulty as I prefer , or will, tolerate .... Starcoss overall is beautiful map and fun to play .... UNTIL you get to the excessive amount, and difficulty , of the Laura Croft / Indiana Jones jump puzzle sections ( #3 in particular ) its mechanics, and Booby Traps ( in Coil , so annoying ) etc .... combined with loose descriptions of objectives / or, not getting objectives done- when youve painstakingly cleared legend three times just this week ..... makes for Players who just quit the objective, and never want to even consider pursuing its ornament, you know ...... from the store. PS - Like the average person has time to read a live news feed to the left or right bottom screen that has white lettering against a white back ground. .... Or a Red Aura that is a similar color of red, in its background - and I have 20/20 vision

You're using arcstrider, which is good, but you have the fragment that blinds targets nearby when you kill a blind target. But you have no real way to start blindness making the fragment basically useless. None of your weapons or exotic armor propagate blind or jolt either. And you're using double primary. Your titan is using 2 fragments to buff their super. Neither of them are particularly necessary with hammers and you have very little of your build going into keeping restoration active, which is the best part of solar and it isn't even close. You're once again running double primary, and you're not running a solar weapon to supplement your subclass with additional effects. Your warlock is using 2 fragments that activate on killing suspended targets, yet your only way to suspend targets is with your super (which consumes a third fragment) that super is better suited for fighting boss targets because you're trying to go for threadling builds, which are cool, but that should be giving you enough crowd control that you'll want to use your super on big targets. You're once again using double primary. Do you want some help with making better builds or something? The game is so much more fun when you're using a load out rather than whatever gear you got to randomly drop.

To be honest, if you don't enjoy most of the game then it probably isn't worth continuing to play, but I agree that there should always be a "story mode" version available for players who are new or don't care about difficulty, with appropriately reduced rewards. The legendary version of the Witch Queen story was well received but Bungie unfortunately got the message that all content needed to have the difficulty increased with Lightfall, which was terrible in comparison. Just because I am going to play for the challenge doesn't mean everyone is, and everyone has their own level of what they consider difficult, which is why selectable difficulty is so important for entire player base. Exotic missions have always had story related content but were never required for the seasonal story, they were simply additional content to enjoy separately, so I understand why players are upset with this change.

Chucklestyleにより編集済み: 1/19/2024 5:40:26 AMMaybe for somewhat different reasons but I'm right there with you. I already play life on hard mode. I am not interested in being challenged by games I play, I'm here to kill time and see the story. I can't improve beyond whatever meta build lets me bs my way through, and not interested either. I got halfway through Starcrossed and fell and died, and when I saw how much I had to do over I went to orbit. I could probably eventually solo it, but I'm not -blam!- interested. So I'm basically cut off from finishing the seasonal story because of all the -blam!- that it should be harder. I wonder how much overlap there is between those people and the ones complaining about battleground GMs. This isn't Dark Souls. And I don't want to autopilot my way through raids or GMs or whatever. I want to at least be able to get thru the story content without a stress headache.

This is either bait or a bs excuse to leave the game. The door is open and if you don't like it, leave, but don't go making half-assed excuses to make yourself feel better about whatever time you feel was lost.

Im confused. You say you've been a loyal player since D1 but then you also say you don't touch 75% of the game. Raids, pvp, endgame content, etc. So you what? You casually only play story, strikes, and patrol? That doesn't sound like losing you as a player has an effect on the game or the company. That's not really loyalty to the game, that's casual consistency. Like me with GTA, I don't really do much, but I always go back for fun, casual play with some friends. Now, if you want help in endgame content, just ask. There are dozens of groups that offer raid and GM help for free and without toxicity. Not just carries, but actual teaching. Real experience. If you ever want to actually play the good parts of the game (the raids), hit me up

While I admit the jumping sections are annoying on warlock they are totally doable and witherhoard/rockets lets you zip right through all the bosses health, especially the final boss Your weapon selection is not appropriate to the activity, it’s not a patrol, it’s a higher end activity with yellow bars, and mini bosses all over the place, a player with your time played should know you need a special weapon to supplement your rocket which has limited ammo reserves Trying to kill bosses in any activity with autos and scouts won’t work out

Since you said you’ve been playing since D1: In the almost 10 years of this franchise being a thing, the best you could come up with is a double primary build that has hardly and synergy with your class? I get new players struggling a bit with the mission but like…what are we doing here?

You own Wicked Implement, but this is where you draw the line? I understand that that was optional, but it was also significantly more difficult than Starcrossed. Even if you say you don't do GMs, Raids and whatnot, you still own Exotic armour pieces that can only be obtained through Legend/Master Lost Sectors, so you must be familiar with enemies that aren't Patrol-difficulty. Just because the mission is part of the storyline does not mean that you can blindly waltz through it like other story content. Use an appropriate loadout i.e. not two primary weapons, and play more conservatively.

I agree it shouldn't have been in the main storyline but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the mission itself. It's an exotic mission. It's literally a mission to get the absolute top tier weapons in the game (even if the bow itself isn't the best weapon in the game) so the missions for it should be difficult. But yeah, not in main story.
