Casuals do not take armor crafting as seriously because it involves math.
I assure you, if Bungie updates armor in a way that you get bonuses for a full set, the players will get burned out from meaningless 5 points.
This armor system has been out for 3 years. I have ran the same stat distributions since back then. The fun in this game is more about weapon crafting and less about armor crafting.
I think you're missing the entire point. Both can and should exist. My feedback regarding armor that is obtained in end game activities, by it's very nature being endgame, typically isn't geared toward "casuals" is that it's not as rewarding as it could be.
And I think the fact that you've been running the same stat distribution for 3 years is a solid indication that the system and armor rewards hasn't evolved enough to compel you to try something different... So in this situation we have a looter where half the rewards (armor) aren't evolving. Imagine a situation where you've crafted an awesome weapon AND you've been able to more deeply tailor your armor to customize how you play with it...
My feedback is simply that these armor drops - specifically Dungeon and Raid - which often require more coordination with friends/LFG to engage with - should be more rewarding and exciting to get - and deepening the build-crafting capabilities with better stat consistencies and functions outside of raids would be a really fun way to do that.
Different is because a few seconds between cool downs hardly affects my play style. Perks like demolitionist, pugilist, easy access to orbs can all reduce ability cool downs.
You have exotics to help with your "different" play styles.
Raid armor perks are designed to make the raid challenges alittle easier. With crafting, you have no reason to revisit raids. Hence no need for your raid or dungeon armor to be meaningful.
The last time raid armor was meaningful was taken armaments that bled into Gambit. The casuals complained because of the unfair heavy ammo advantage. Thats why all raid perks stay active within raids. The casuals complained.
