First, a payload section in a REALLY open area where you can be sniped easily (unless you have an invis hunter and even then, you can only do it for so long). Not to mention infinite spawning boomer knights and wizards raining hell above you in the latter half of it.
Next, you’ll HAVE to fight in a crowded, small as -blam!- hallway while fighting for space to shoot with two other people unless you want to be gangraped at all different angles. Even Well of Radiance can’t save you in there.
The prequel to the boss fight isn’t as bad since you can plink the boss from far away, but the true boss fight is hell. Unless you’re cheesing it from spawn (which I guarantee you will), you’ll fight in a room with almost NO cover with a million ads shooting at you. Not to mention dodging one bang suppression gernades AND a boss with built in tracking Sentinel Shields that can one bang you and your team even with 100 Resilience and 3 Void Resist mods on your chest piece. (As a Titan main, I wish our Sentinel Shield super has building in tracking and one shot suppression grenades. 😭)
Once you get into the right groove, this strike isn’t hard but it’s VERY tedious and boring as -blam!-. Whoever is in charge of putting these shitty Battlegrounds into strikes NEEDS to be fired. Thank God I have completed this hellhole of a strike this Tuesday (and my guilded Conqueror x8 title with it) because I will NEVER do this again. (Unless you add this back in the future episodes, then -blam!- you.) 🖕🏿

6 通の返信On another note, unstoppable champions are shooting during stuns. It has happened to me regularly during this particular gm.

NONE from bungie would be able to finish this gm, I'm willing to bet my house on it, because they don't test their game literally, the DIRECTOR at bungie streamed himself playing a legend lost sector and couldn't even stun/kill a champion! It's a joke

2 通の返信Yeah but the salty grapefruit said it was too easy so now we’re all stuck doing this.

2 通の返信If you use trappers ambush + shade step while equipping graveton forfeit and your melee is at 70 or higher plus the fragment that buffs invisible duration, you can actually stay invisible 100% of the time. The room with bell and aspects of Savathun are probably the only hard parts. The bell room just hide by the exit for the 1st 2 wizard, then quickly run back to the entry doorway after killing the 2nd wizard. For the final boss room, remember the ads only spawn in waves based on health thresholds, so you can kill all the ads from the spawn point then spread out and rinse and repeat.

23 通の返信I've beaten the grandmaster twice already. You don't know how to play this particular battlegrounds correctly, which is why you're having more trouble with it than you ought to.

5 通の返信- A graviton forfeit hunter can achieve perma invis without any enemies around. So there is no limit to how long it can stay invis. - If knights and wizard spawn, it’s only because one player in your fireteam jumped on the building where they spawn. - At the hive room encounter, don’t stay in the entrance, go to the exit platform. Clean waves from there until thralls spawn on it. - Move to the opposite side and clean what spawns on the exit platform and around it. You will have a series of spawn up the stairs on the right (thralls acolytes and arc shielded knights, that you can easily clean them with a disorienting GL followed by a rocket.) - the final spawn consists of more champions spawning around the room. You can stay on the far right if you have synergies and active players, if not, just move to the entrance and finish the cleaning from there. - push the boss away from far (stay in the stairs crouching.) Do not stand there on the bridge, or else one shield throw can easily kill that guardian and then rebound and kill the other two. - have at least one player stay safe in the final boss area. Safest spot remains crouching at the back of the starting platform to avoid shield throw from hitting that player. Ideally, that player will try to cover those who are roaming on the main area. If all is done well, you should be at the hive room in under 9, boss area in under 18, and get the clear in under 35. These times are for 3 no mic lfg players of all ranks. Imho the only things that need adjusting in this GM are the savathuns and shield throw rebounding and killing all three players at full health. Other than that, I actually really enjoy this GM.

4 通の返信The game shouldn't depend on a invis hunter. Bungie really needs to work on the battlegrounds if they want them to be anything more then a slog fest . The problem is they cheaped out and re hashed content to save a buck on new strikes. Its a sign the game is on the way out. After the final shape not going to be much left in the game to do.

Everything keeps respawning until you get the payload to where the brig spawns. Really annoying especially since the snipers can basically one shot you. Beat the GM to gild my title but it was tedious. Probably won’t play it again unless it’s to help out a buddy or gild in a later season.

2 通の返信There's a reason why the team make up is usually 1 invis hunter and 2 well locks. Pushing the payload is the easiest part. Snipers will despawn once the hunter pushes the payload. Of course the problem is basically 1 hunter doing all the work.
-
The infinite spawning ads in the payload part as well as those wizards and knights definitely were the worst of it. There isn’t really a safe moment to push the payload since there’s infinite enemies, making an invis hunter super helpful. I personally ran a stasis warlock which made the second room pretty easy. We stood in the back by the door, and I just froze/blinded the couple enemies that spawned on top of us, and we were otherwise safe. In the boss, it’s pretty safe to hang out on the towers where spears spawn, and the boss’s shields aren’t a huge threat since there’s no walls or ceiling for them to bounce. But, there really isn’t a reason to push past the spawn platform. For me, this one was really just a case of it being hard because it’s a new GM to learn. I think this’ll be pretty trivial if it comes back in future seasons.

2 通の返信It’s not bad. The first phase is irritating with the wizard/knight unlimited spawning. The only other issue I have is the spear will despawn forcing a reset because it is impossible to kill the savathun thing.

1 返信rednayeLにより編集済み: 1/11/2024 7:33:38 PMFYI, I figured out the the boomer knights and wizard you mentioned in your post, if you don’t ever go up there at all, they won’t spawn. And also, when you figure the right places to go, it’s super easy, yet super boring, like you said. I hate the BG GMs.

I agree, with my team we could probably clear every other GM in a few tries, if not the first. However, this GM is just far worse that the Heist Battlegrounds: Moon, and I never expected that to be the case. It doesn't help that we can pretty much only run Solar for the entire season, as it's the only subclass that gets the favoritism every time.
because I will NEVER do this again.
That's what I said a few seasons ago when this was on the list the first time... Not sure why the decided to bring this stupid strike back. The most annoying part is having to hit Savathun with like 30,000 synaptic spears. Just dumb.
