This is my 3rd willing to provide PvE help to anyone post. Please stop deleting!!! Heaven forbid anyone actually wants to help players get better and someone keeps removing it. Whomever is doing this please message me so you and I can have a conversation.

Bungo doesn't want players to get better so they can complete activities. They apparently want people to stay frustrated and annoyed with the game. Your offers to help people would sabotage Bungo's hard work towards making us miserable. :-)

90% of content in this game is really easy 8% you should prep at least a little and the last 2% is where fireteam break down and actual builds make a difference. I literally wrote a book on how to "git gud" even before player skill even becomes a variable of success and have helped people with very little time even playing get all things. I'm a big advocate for teach a man to fish rather than giving you the fish. I haven't had a single person reach out since making that post. It leads me to believe that people may just be happier writing negative comments versus actually solving their problems.

BrujaMalvadaにより編集済み: 12/21/2023 8:08:02 PMI think people would like Bungo to address the needs of a variety of customers rather than just sweats, content creators, and no-lifers. It may be easy for you, but not for someone with poor eyesight and impaired hand function. Or not for New Lights still getting used to the game. Perhaps people like you need to stop assuming everyone is the same. And stop assuming solo players don't matter; not everyone has access to a "crafted" fireteam. For example, other games let you pick a difficulty level (e.g. the Doom series) and you can go straight to the top one if you want, or start lower or mid and move up as you learn. And other games don't kill you in nearly as many chicken***t ways as Bungo does. But I digress... Where is your "book"--I'd like to look at it (unless it's primarily for PvP, not my thing)?

Well to address your reply I'll say this; I didn't assume anything and there will always be a reason why we all can't do something. The reality is accepting our own limitations creates an individual choice on whether or not we want to continue to pursue something. If that answer is yes than we as the person accept the outcome may not be what we have wanted. In that it was truly about proving to ourselves that we can push passed our own short comings and, in that concept, alone we find success regardless. Destiny is and has always been built around it's players coming together and doing things together. Hence their motto "We build games that inspire friendship". We as a community are what glorified the solo experience and was never advertised as such from Bungie. Beating things solo is a triumph because it's supposed to be difficult to do alone and not the standard for the game design. As far the book I'll post one of the entries in this thread as they are long and max out what even discord will allow for characters.

Your comments and your information seem generally good; much of it is common sense and paying attention to information. I do question your remark above on this though:
Destiny is and has always been built around it's players coming together and doing things together.
If they want to "inspire friendship" then why do so many of their designs encourage "screw your teammate" to a significant extent? Everything from Gambit to bounties to quest objectives "inspire" individuals to succeed at the expense of their supposed team members. Doesn't seem like friendship is the goal there. And yes, I can think of alternatives they could use in many cases.

The bounties are kill the blockers and bank motes? Seems pretty straight forward? I suppose its just the mentality that makes it seem bad. I'm not sure why thats bad. As far as the info you are a rank 10 so you prolly know the things but many don't and like you mentioned I've gone as far as helping many brand new players get Conqueror. What are you missing for 11?

BrujaMalvadaにより編集済み: 12/22/2023 3:45:27 AM
The bounties are kill the blockers and bank motes
Mote stealing is a way of life in Gambit, so it takes longer than it should to meet those criteria. Ditto for killing anything (e.g. envoys). The only activities I've found where people are usually worth a cr*p are GM's, exotic missions, and generally Dungeons, and raids when I have the time to do them. Otherwise these "friends" are just as often Eager Edge-ing me to death, speedrunning so I get JA'd before meeting specified-method kill criteria, etc. ad nauseum.

I guess to each is their own however the overarching goal of all these activities is to win as a team and not necessarily achieve personal goals. If the bounties were for wins then complaints would be about how hard it is to complete and they are wasting their time facing sweats. It'll always be something no matter what. As far as teammates eager edging that an interesting and really popular among a certain age group of players because trolling one another is part of the fun. I hear my son and his friends doing it all the time while they laugh and mess around. I understand where your coming from and I let randoms know that they'll get the boot the first time it happens whenever I use LFG. If they do then I do and then press on with the activity. I also think if you give people an honest try and understand for every troll you may find X amount of players you do enjoy playing with and then you add them for next time. Thats what the inspire friendships part is about, giving people a unified task so they can chat and hang out for a while and maybe meet up again. The game itself is supposed to be a catalyst that creates bonds and memories. If it doesn't with you then I'm sorry but I can tell you I've met alot of great players along the way but you gotta give people a shot to surprise you. If you can't communicate then everyone stays blue berries and its no better than just running strikes. If that is what everyone else is experiencing than I ask what are you still even doing here? The game was meant to play with people and initially designed around the MMO construct in 2014 which why the solo experience seems so bad. As stated in Ready Player One "It was never meant to be a single player game." If your up for it, I'll def play with ya and maybe you'll have a better time than you've had in the past. If not it's been a good chat and hope the best for ya.

BrujaMalvadaにより編集済み: 12/22/2023 5:19:41 AM90% of my time in the game is spent by myself, i.e. not with any known FT. However, I am in a clan and a Discord, and those people are mostly great to play with. But it's a relatively small group and we are scattered across the globe, hence LFG and matchmaking must usually suffice. And yes, I just leave when the EE morons surface. They should get together and go to a private match if all they want to do is sword someone to death. When they are doing it to someone who doesn't reciprocate in the "fun" it's just bullying, plain and simple. Unfortunately I am from a generation and a culture that largely believes in treating others with decency and civility, and I know very well that those are real human beings behind that screen. For better, or for worse. I enjoy Destiny 2's basic features. The campaign content is too few and far between but I like it. But if Borderlands had D2's movement and gunplay, I'd never come back...the BL series is just more fun. Thanks for the info and perspective. Have a good one.

Today's Helpful Hints is focused on build crafting and ultimately how to go from idea to final form. You may ask where do I start? The first step is to pick a major role you would like play in the combat spectrum and more specifically how you want to accomplish that. There are alot of ways of doing the same thing however some are more effective than others. Next, go into your exotic armor collections and see which ones you have and then read what they do and the task to figure out whether or not you like their ease of use. This way you don't jump through a ton of hoops only to find out you don't like the gameplay loop. Once you decide, use sites like DIM or D2armorpicker to optimize your armor to get your stats focused into where you need them. After use stat mods to maximize those must have stats for the icing on the cake. Then use armor charge and other like mods. Do a thing and get X energy back. If your cool downs are 1 min + then getting even 50% back cuts 30+ secs. I also like the font mods with stacks on stacks and time dialation. Each armor charge adds +30/50/70 stat points for 15 secs. The stacks on stacks give 2 armor charge per orb and with new orb system they are never in short supply. Don't sweat it if your needed stat can't get 100 because the Font mods have your back to supplement the difference. Then on to your guns, What are you the most consistent with. If your not the best with the ideal then you won't be as effective as you would be if you just use what your good with. Eff the meta and use what you slay with. Lastly, onto your subclass. Pick the fragments that further dig harder into that idea you wanted to see. Don't worry about stat loss or gains just drive head first into the power fantasy. At the end you can move some mods and round out that piece. Lastly, load into the hardest place you can to see how it performs. Normal strikes make garbage look like gold.

Lucky McKillyaにより編集済み: 12/21/2023 9:17:51 PMFirst off the term DPS in the game of Destiny is miss used and impossible to measure on the fly without the use of Add-Ons*. Damage Optimization is a team sport and the boss only has so much health. If your damage is 8.5 Million of 16 Million then yay for you but your team needs some advice because 5 players shared that last 7.5 million collectively. Decide if your there for fun or there to win because 100% there is an optimized set of Best-in-Class subclasses for each boss encounter. Every deviation from there lessens that percentage as a base line. There is a difference between your talent making it work and you using your best option. Damage stacking is about balancing consistency, potency, and ease of activation. 1.) Let’s talk about how to optimize your damage and it starts with the make up of your fireteam regarding the types of subclasses at your disposal. Many of them on paper seem logical or helpful but then when you go through the motions, they are collectively useless and aren’t benefitting the group. In “normal” content this doesn’t matter as much but in Master level or higher content you’re only hurting your chances of success. Winning is about the success of the fireteam not about you. 2.) If you stand in proximity like in a well or platform, how likely are you to hit your teammate in the back or have enemies that get within melee range of you……don’t use explosives or don’t get mad when you blow yourself up. 3.) The second consideration is what the boss is doing when you’re engaging it and how easy and consistent your fireteam can apply damage to the critical locations. As of late, Raid Bosses are mobile and in your face the entire time with hard to hit crit spots. Divinity only provides a 15% debuff but makes hitting crit spots a no brainer. Tether can supplement that extra 15% for 12 seconds. The biggest question is; is the fireteam capable of having a net gain in damage from using tether over blade barrage or gathering storm? That will depend on fireteam size and what they are using in their kits. 4.) There are 7 different categories of buffs and debuffs. Each major category stacks with the others however not buffs within each category. They stack by Multiplying not Adding. o Ie. base damage of weapon x .3 (tractor cannon) x .47 (surrounded) x .22 (3x Surge Mods) x .25 (Well of Radiance) x .25 (Activity Surge) x crit spot multiplier= number shown 5.) Lean into the listed surge. It’s a free 25% multiplier, use it. 6.) Certain armor pieces provide damage bonuses. Ie. Boots of the Assembler, Currias of the Falling Star, Star Eaters Scales etc. 7.) Next up is what Mods and weapon perks are you using? You can fit 3 surge mods in your boots and the bonus is 10%/17%/22% for each one equipped. There are certain armor pieces that can give you a 25% increase for a time after you activate the term required by the armor piece. This takes place of the mods and does not stack with them. 8.) Lastly is looking into your weapon perks. In my opinion, it is better to consistently have your perks active versus having super situational perks that only activate with a bunch of sub steps. That’s not to say situational perks like surrounded aren’t good if you have similar copies for different encounters, and everyone lets the adds live. 9.) I have posted a damage category chart in the helpful links if you would like to see a detailed listing of each category and subcategory. This was built for my clan's discord so there are a few references in the text that may seem confusing.

That was 2 of the chapters/entries however you would want to categorize them. Hopefully you enjoyed them or would like to learn or talk about more. I only want to help people and most of the time the answer is knowledge based and I've helped people from all back rounds, ages, and Destiny experience. I only require 2 things 1) Go into the conversation willing to learn and listen and forget you think you may know. 2.) Always do your best because frankly that's all anyone could ask for. The rest will take time and reps to grow your confidence in your own abilities.
