Yeah I preferred the original 4v4 one with no respawns. I still enjoy this version, but it feels a bit more like a party mode than a competitive mode. It can be tactical, but also really chaotic, and where you respawn can be a bit silly at times. I have had some really fun matches when the teams have been evenly balanced.

I also prefer the original version, my biggest issue is spawns being poor. Dying once can often mean you can’t get to the objective and it makes it feel pretty bad IMO, I much enjoy the tactical methodical play of the original mode, especially during when I played most (season 4-7 competitive)
