Maybe it's the fact that all you have to do is jump and you're already benefitting.

I hate my hunter.. but cmon. Yall got the best DPS (With multiple options)PLUS the best debuffs in the game PLUS invis.. PLUS the fastest movement since you can speed run GMs lol... and you complain about a minimal thing? Lol.. I don't even know what's a weak super for hunter anymore lol. P.s. look at your other buffs! Because Stompees are busted. They’re still the most used Hunter exotic, which goes to show that they’re still fine. They were broken pre-nerf. Nobody in their right mind would put them back in that state without some sort of nerf. I think they’re in a pretty good state now. They provide unconditional movement buffs, and Hunter itself is still the top PvP class.

They feel bad now, only good for jumping puzzles.

They (typically) nerf based on the number of players using a thing. When fewer players use them, they will likely stop nerfing them.

Stompees before the nerfs began were hands down the Best PvP exotic for hunter. Hunters are already the best movement class and It increased the Hunters base movement kit up by another level. Acceleration in the air, jump height, slide, distance. Stompees were definitely a problem and probably one of the reasons AE was created. They nerf based on usage. They aren't the best Hunter exotic but they have a high enough usage that Bungie is too afraid to give proper buffs.

It wasn't Ophidian Aspect's fault that people kept walking into melee range and being surprised when they get hit by a melee. That didn't stop people complaining about them until they got a nerf. Down-playing the issue because of your own biases doesn't make it any less of an issue to the unbiased player. It was never "hurr durr i can't look up", it was the huge cost-free upgrade to your movement abilities that nothing else could come close to, the unpredictable change of direction, and the ability to not be punished for bad plays because you always have the speed to get away. It is evidence enough of how good they are that Bungie "keep nerfing them time after time" and they are still the most-used Hunter Exotic for PvP. If they can survive that many nerfs and still be on top, surely that speaks volumes about how good they were before any of that? Or is the reality that none of the nerfs have been significant enough to warrant any valid complaints and the Hunters who use them have been exaggerating it?
