They want to turn the game into a bad version of cod… the vast majority of your community love power and the fun of getting loot… you are losing touch with these people…
It’s such a strange choice to cater to them specially when they have such dismal view counts…
The games very identity for the vast majority of your community is space magic, power fantasy and casual fun… something that a few of these low view count streamers seem to detest
Please revert the ability changes and make us feel powerful again…

13 通の返信I can't argue your point since I don't watch streamers anyways, but you'll also have to take into account the people who insist on posting streamer videos and constantly referencing everything they say as though it were gospel here on the forum.

41 通の返信
identity for the vast majority of your community is space magic, power fantasy and casual fun… something that a few of these low view count streamers seem to detest
They plainly told us they want the game to be "watchable", their own words, so they don't care. It's free advertising. It doesn't matter if people have fun. They (devs and streamers) have this idea in their heads that this game is "the olympics" of video games. They seem to feel like you have to work this game like a job to deserve to use some pixels. I'm not sure where the idea came from, but this game isn't the definitive "skill test" of all video games. This idea was probably there in D1 but Activision kept BNG in check, making content more player friendly to retain customers. I mean Pitfall on Atari from 40 years ago is still playable to this day and was one of Activision's earliest games, and with CoD keeping players every year regardless of their employee treatment, they know how to keep people playing. They do that by not making everything catered to the "celebrity" streamers/full time players. The game was already doomed when D1 launched by forcing us into codependency; sorry, clans and "LFG"; to actively engage in "endgame" content. It took a while for people to realize that you can't do anything alone. Sure you can run strikes or patrols, which is what the majority of the players play, but you don't deserve adept [insert pixels] to play with because you didn't base your life around other people's schedules. Seasonal matchmade activities were actually a good thing but had no "rewards". Sure you got reskinned guns but they were all but worthless. Then monetization from cosmetics became a byproduct of the "social" game agenda. Can't sell cosmetics without customers and what better way to advertise than with streamers. You were supposed to tell your friends to stop by Eververse and buy stuff after watching streamers use it. Look at them using that "cool loot" with alternative skins you can get if you force people to synchronize your lives around "endgame content" then buy the ornaments for it. Maybe this is the last breath of a dying game that could have been great. It was fun a few times. If these nerfs now are an attempt to buff everything again in final shape and once again say "we're listening" like the time between D2 vanilla/Forsaken, it could be too little too late.

9 通の返信This is this whole franchise & why it's laughed at from non destiny players. Streamers constantly say make the game harder, which is fair enough, no arguments, but they clearly meant endgame. Bungie being bungie indeed make the game harder, the base game, the seasonal content, the stuff people enjoy mindlessly grinding to pass time, whilst somehow making endgame easier. The results, the streamers go to other games bcoz they're bored. The bottom & middle all leave bcoz the fun has gone, everything is tedious & mundane, no one pre orders, all time low player numbers & sentiment. The real worry for bungie is they've allowed people to break their addiction, & whatever they do going forward a lot won't ever return. I don't see this ending well for them & it'll be interesting to see numbers not go up much for the new season.
you are losing touch with these people…
No, they lost touch years ago when they couldn't rely on the original devs anymore who at least knew what they were doing that dropped them like a bad habit. So now they rely on people who only care about themselves and pretend to care about the game/community to make a living.

4 通の返信Water the game down and then do a go fast update. It happens all the time. And then everything gets nerfed all over again. Sandbox updates disguised as content to get you to play the same crap over and over but with different guns and builds. It's the perfect way to mask the lack of content and make you play Bungies way as per usual.

1 返信I only watch a streamer to find out how to do something in the game. I will admit that sometimes I can do what they do to accomplish what I want done but sometimes not because of my skill vs theirs plus their gear vs mine. But over all meh......it is a game. I play not watch!

It's almost as if Bungie wants more people watching streamers play the game, instead of just playing it themselves. It won't be much longer before their dream of filling up a football stadium with ex gamers turned spectators watching people compete on large TV screens while buying Doritos and Mountain Dew comes true. Oh wait, are you telling me we already have this? GTFO!

15 通の返信You lot should stop thinking that streamers have as much sway as they do. Bungie has even said they don’t listen to them.

11 通の返信A_moにより編集済み: 11/24/2023 4:53:50 AMThis game is never going to be better unless they put people in lobbies with good enough gameplay and good enough players and watch what they do. Unfortunately once you get out of the top tier of destiny right now people really start just doing the same thing repeatedly (like I did in that match against the ice cream man earlier and lost to the coldest monster so far. Mr A) . Or they play it like it's a patrol. The way the abilities and all that needs to be needs the players that can think on the fly the best and can switch their styles up the best. Then when the game gets designed around that it should hopefully be a natural teacher like halo was and people will start playing and just be doing more pvp behaviors naturally. Some of the stuff is just not that hard for it to be this long and people haven't learned how to not have to cry as much for Bungie to fix their losing. And deliver them their apportionment of wins. It's just to much to watch people play a match they could have played differently enough to be satisfied and then demand full changes to the game based on nothing pvp related. Then everyone wonders why nothing works when they're looking for pvp results. The technique I used against the ice cream man is called the hammer and create commotion technique. It's supposed to fool them into thinking your dumb enough to keep doing that and have them expect dumb when you start trying to break the breaker. Its also supposed to make people come to where he's at while I plan my next two or three shot registrationless areas to do work in but he kept mopping me up to quick and he knew had the captains chair and the grenades I can't stand and build crafted himself over the top even though he probably didn't need that part.

6 通の返信do you play CoD? the games aren't very different. CoD is absolutely brimming with ability spam, and killstreaks are supers that just keep coming after mid-match.

3 通の返信Pve streamers are the real snowflakes of destiny. Think about it. What's the most difficult challenge in destiny and who lays out the red carpet with help?
