I've played a lot of them. I use LSs to do a lot of testing. There are methods to efficiently grinding LSs: You should try not to die. You can skip sections, if it's possible, but you must kill everything that spawns in before grabbing the chest. You should know about stat triplets, ghost mod focusing, the intrinsic stat categories for exotics... Knowing those things in coordination with LS featured exotics to maximize your success. You need to know about densyc... how to prevent it, and in knowing when you're afflicted. You want to let the 1st timer expire to the results screen. If you notice lag in the xp bar... meaning seconds, minutes later... the UI xp bar is popping up. If you're only getting glimmer from the chest. If engrams aren't dropping from enemy kills (sometimes) within the LS. Sometimes, you'll hear delayed audio cues. All these might be evidence of "progress lag"... and technically, what's happening is that you're timing out of the LS before the script that decides for the loot drop finishes. It's an easy fix. Quit and exit your game... then relaunch your game and log back in. There's a small chance this post is legit, but if it is, it's something with their game. No way... you run 50 LSs with nada. The worst streak I've ever had was 15... and that's when they 1st came out. The rng used to be much worse... they've buffed it multiple times. Now, I average (scouts honor) 1in5 on Legend... or 20% & 1in3 on Master when staying true to the methods I've outlined above. I decide which difficulty I do based on time efficiency, the LS and its modifiers... the kits I'm running, and my general mood. If I'm grinding for loot, or mats... Master is great mat grind, imo. Some LSs are any easy 3mins for me... so I can literally grind out more mats than if I'm running 20 min GMs, and I can do it solo. If I'm testing, that depends where I am. LSs are an extremely underrated resource... especially if you have PvE chops. It is great practical tutorial zone that will help you improve as a player. All your weaknesses are laid to bare... especially on Attrition that demands efficient and thoughtful tactics. I've done thousands of these things. I keep notes, I have 3 notebooks next to me right now filled with data... a lot of it about LSs. I'm a complete nerd 🤓 about this stuff. I like lore... but game mechanics and systems are my passion. There is something off about this post.

One drop per 5 runs on Legendary sounds legit from my experience.
