A delay to the Final Shape while being good for any game just isn't enough time to put it on the level of Forsaken or Taken King. It's not enough time for Bungie to add any meaningful or large pieces of content for us, all it would be for is either fixing bugs, quality control and maybe adding small quality of life features possibly, maybe they could squeeze out an additonal strike or pvp map....maybe. The features we saw at the Final Shape reveal stream is what we're getting. No new weapon types, no new darkness subclass, no new enemy faction, only 1 patrol zone as opposed to Forsaken's 2, no new big system like crafting or even smaller quality of life systems like loadouts or new mod UI page, not even a new skin for an existing enemy which we've gotten for every D2 expansion since Warmind. You can't just add a big new feature like crafting with an additional few months or make a whole new faction, weapon type or patrol zone. Sure the campaign may be the best we ever get beating even the Witch Queen but in terms of gameplay and content I just don't see how they can even rival Forsaken, Taken King or even Witch Queen let alone surpass them in terms of quality and content. Heck prove me wrong but I've seen no evidence from Bungie towards the fact that AT LAUNCH of the expansion we will get more than 1 or 2 strikes and multiple new pvp maps until multiple seasons later. They would have to AT LAUNCH at least have the same amount of strikes as Forsaken as well as pvp maps or at least coming close to those numbers, but considering their pvp strike team was just affected by the lay offs as well as just only recently having been made a thing it gives me no confidence that we will get a bunch of new pvp for the launch of the Final Shape. Prove me wrong though I would love if I was wrong. Taken King gave us 3 new strikes and 7 new pvp maps. While Forsaken gave us 4 new strikes and 4 new pvp maps and that was ontop of having had to make Gambit and its maps. Now they can barely make 1 completely new pvp map which they have to release mutliple seasons after the expansion has launched.
