First of all you aren’t entitled to anyone else’s time. Second of all don’t join an LFG group that has a “KWTD” requirement if you don’t in fact actually know what to do. If you do then you have no one else to blame but yourself if you get kicked because you knowingly joined the group not meeting the asked for requirements. Not wanting to waste time having to teach people doesn’t make anyone an “elitist” and you very clearly don’t know how to properly use the term “gatekeeper” because that also doesn’t apply here. The only person who is “gatekeeping” you is yourself because all you’re doing is blaming other people for your own inability to play certain content. Did you ever think to start your own LFG team strictly for people who want/need to learn so you can do so together? Did you ever think to search for a Sherpa run? As someone who has taught a lot of people numerous raids you’re the last type of person I’d ever want to teach because you have a piss poor attitude and anyone who immediately cries “elitist” and “gatekeeper” is just ridiculous.

Have you tried the destiny lfg on discord..i know someone that uses it and says their are people willing to teach there. I havent tried it but will soon. I left a clan and stopped doing raids and stuff like that because of what you mentioned..good luck!!

It's pretty much expected that if you join an LFG group that you KWTD, unless it's specifically a teaching run. Everyone plays their game their own way, some may not have the time to teach and some may just flat out not want to. I know for a fact though that there definitely are folks who will run through it and teach you though, I see them on the forums fairly often looking to Sherpa. As far as KWTD, going into content with a pretty good idea or at least a basic understanding of what to do is a much better strategy than going in blind and expecting someone to hold your hand through the whole thing. YouTube will be your best bet to learn a bit about the mechanics before you go in, there are tons of good videos on there. Being in an active clan with good folks is also one of the best ways to set yourself up for success if you truly want to learn the raids. Other than that you could try putting up a forum post looking for a Sherpa, I have no doubt that you'd find one. My suggestions would be any/all of the following. • Always make sure to study up a bit on instance mechanics before you do any raid or difficult content. • Join a decent and active clan that is willing to help and teach content it's members. • Join a specifically designated teaching raid run, or host a learning raid run. • Find someone willing to Sherpa on the forums (I wouldn't be surprised if a few reach out to you after this post). You'll have to put in a little effort on your end but it should get where you want to go.🍻

I’ll never understand why this is so hard for people

I'd suggest making your own post, stating that you're new to the raid (whichever one it is) and that you're looking for players willing to teach you the full experience. It may take a bit before you get volunteers, but there're plenty willing to help if you give it a chance. Good luck to you!

Completion and experience requirements are stupid, on that I agree. But asking that you know what to do isn’t a bad request. Personally, I don’t want to do a run with someone can’t put in the effort to at least skim a guide on the internet :/

iv seen people say the "kwtd" peeps are the type that need carrying anyway so makes sense.. the only time i even think about raids is how can i solo parts of them and what can i get solo
