While I am not against speed-runners, I do like your idea.
Solo, and or clan options would be good.
Alternatively, you could make a Fireteam post, and say your a new light and not looking for speed-runners.

I have 2 new lights in our clan, but they not always available at same time... so when I play with 1 of them 3rd random already at the final boss lol! I do speedruns when solo just for bounties and etc, nothing against it. It's just throws the new players off cause they want to experince, exlore.

I can completely understand that. Or like if you’re already a fireteam or two, it shouldn’t fill the third spot/ make that a toggle on/off option. I remember being a new light and trying to keep up on that first strike. Not that the two randoms where speed-running, but I did want to explore. I also wanted to learn how to jump…..so many cliff edges 🙄😬 ….guardian down!!….miss adventure!!

Lol! Yes ! New guardian have a lot of trouble with jumps especially as warlocks 🙃. Struggle was real I remeber it! If we referring to a cross play option, it's kinda of broken as it will kick or make it impossible for person on the same platform to join. We tried.... for example 2 of us on PS5 but when option is off we can't join each other or get kicked when turn off while in the fireteam..
