I appreciate a challenge but that doesn’t mean others will, especially if they are new (those poor souls) or don’t want to play to the meta.
There is a reason players seek out cheeses or cheat, if there is an easier way then more often than not a player will choose the smoother path.
It feels great to delete a world boss in seconds, really playing into the power fantasy the most of us came here for. It just shouldn’t drop the same rewards as the higher difficulty, or at least with lower chances for a good drop.
As with the legendary campaign, it would be better if there were a selectable difficulty in basic content for those players, so they can be eased into learning how to actually build loadouts and take on new challenges.

Lol we have had elected difficulty in the game for a while now.

Not just nightfalls or the rotating lost sector/dungeon/raid content, but world too. Yes I do mean to make it easier on blueberries and casuals, but consider roaming the EDZ with a -30 light level modifier and getting increased drops on high stat armor for instance. Both ends of the spectrum would benefit without sacrificing enjoyment for either player.

Elected difficulty is definitely the way to go, but it’s already here.

If you want to do something equivalent to an Adept NF, just go into the vanguard ops playlist. If you want something even easier than that, you can launch a strike from the destination map.
