The people that control the money and resources aren’t the same people hands-on making the game. Even Joe Blackburn (the game director) doesn’t get to set his own budget.
The business heads at the very top will be in charge of that stuff, and even they have investors to answer to.
They will invest resources in what they think gives them the best return. They have to balance Destiny against everything else they’re working on (expanding the studio and overseeing multiple IPs).
The bottom line will always be profit.

I would be with you on this hater comment except Bungie has taken a massive amount of content that the players paid for. If you don't want to create new content then at the very least the older content should make a triumphant return. Don't make excuses for Bungie. They're doing well on their own.

Not sure why you’re calling it a hater comment. OP didn’t mention anything about bringing back old content, but my previous comment applies to that as well. Not making excuses for them — just trying to paint an accurate picture of a multi billion dollar business.
