Tried to do a 100k story mission with LFGs, and they came rocking scout rifles, roaming supers, and neither of them had unstoppable mods. They both quit after one wipe at calus that they caused by bad play.
Go into LFG looking for something to do and it's nothing but CP farmers chasing loot they'll never use because it's gonna get nerfed anyway.
Everybody I know is off playing different games.
Player numbers be d@mned, this game is dying and quickly. All anyone wants to do is get carried or farm CPs. Everybody else is ensconced in their likely increasingly shrinking discord servers or has left the game.

112 通の返信The game isn’t dying, but it is struggling. Once again, Bungie lost sight of the kind of game they made…and the reasons why people play. They got so focused on making the game “difficult” that the (once again) exposed the games fundamental design flaw: insufficient loot. Plus they’ve made the game inaccessible to anyone but hardcores. I’m not going to waste hours trying to LFG a team so that I can try to complete these exotic quests. I’m just going to go play a more accessible game (Diablo 4). Had more fun beating Astaroth than I’ve had this year playing Destiny. Bungie made a wrong move, and needs a MAJOR course correction.

18 通の返信Go outside or play a different game. This is no different than any other year. Numbers go down then a new expansion his and they go up. Literally every game does this

2 通の返信Once the power level grind disappeared the game was further exposed for how shallow and unrewarding it truly is..Can you say insufficient loot? Yes, I knew you could. Still hopeful that Bungie figures things out but then again it’s Bungie so it’s anyone’s guess what will happen. There’s new games to immerse oneself in should this one not be much fun these days.

1 返信Roachにより編集済み: 7/18/2023 6:11:37 AMI moved on from the game but a friend wanted to start playing. He bought Witch Queen, against my advice. That was about two weeks ago, spoke to him last night and he has deleted his character and uninstalled the game. His reaction was that while the shooting was fun he had no idea what he was doing or why. Being launched into missions with no warning. No explanation of what anything is. Being put on a tour of the tower with only the most basic of explanation as to who people are and why. No explanation as to who the races are and why they are there. Nothing on your character is explained. Things just happen and you are left wondering what is going on. No guide to upgrading your armour. Nothing to show you how to use materials, or even why they exist. He started Witch Queen and quit after about three missions after seeing how much it cost to purchase the grenades, aspect and fragments for his supers, when I told him what he would have to do upgrade Stasis and Strand should he keep playing and get those expansions he just quit as he said that the game was way too much grind and way, way too expensive to get into seriously. He also had to phone me asking why Champions are impervious to damage, I had to explain to him how to do that. He simply had enough of trying to work out what was going on for himself. He's now off playing other games and I no longer have to answer all his queries about things the game should be explaining to him. A game that loses nine year veteran's like me can survive if new blood is coming in. But they aren't. Existing players are either leaving or, in a lot of cases, drastically reducing playtime. That's bad for any game but when new players aren't staying that's only going to to end one way.

1 返信As an outsider its really hard to take this type of feedback seriously when you are currently playing the game logging in to play the very game you find not fun. The best way to make an impact is by not playing. If you truly were miserable and not having a good time you'd have moved on and stopped playing. The fact is.. you like it enough to continue playing and really that's all bungie cares about. How do you all not see that by now? That said - I agree the game currently is not fun hence why I have not logged in since June.

1 返信Jammersにより編集済み: 7/18/2023 8:27:46 PMThe game is grinding to a stop . It is slowing down player count down listed at rank 17 now on steam that's way down also. They killed the game nerfing the players and buffing the ads and none stop respawning ads in the new content. They wont adjust the mechanics in raids for MM. They re run old wore out content that we all played to a burn out point. They wont fix MM or cheaters in this game using USB devices. They turn there back on us for all issues and problems listed above . And on top of that ask for more money for none stop cosmetics . My answer to Bungie is fix all above ,make the game have accessibly for everyone with or without a 6 person team. Or suffer the end of your game slowly but surly.

1 返信Anyone have a recommendation on another game to try? I’m not picky and could really use something to keep me occupied.

6 通の返信Literally the only reason the game is still alive is because Bungie paid human behavior experts to learn how to create a bunch of addicts.

1 返信I have been playing this franchise since its launch in 2014. And yes, I totally agree it is rn at its lowest. I am not even playing regularly anymore. If it weren't for that stupid competitive sniper and my pre-paid seasons, I wouldn't even be playing anymore. Bungie managed to move so much away from the original (beloved by the masses) idea of a simply FPS-RPG and rather went with too much complexitiy, too much FOMO and too much greed. At this point, not even the Free2Play-excuse satisfies me anymore. Kinda a shame that Bungie managed to become less competent than Blizzards WoW team. Because Blizzards WoW team is doing a lot of things in the last 1-2 months very right compared to Bungie. In all honesty, I really hope this game dies after Final Shape. Let it be gone and forgotten for good.

This season i've been selecting the weekly challenges that offer the best xp return, without being too arduous or time intensive, for the sole purpose of acquiring the seasonal armour. I'm actively playing as little as I can get away with.

2 通の返信Something for me have been off since Lightfall… and now I can barely bother. I have a ton of time and years invested in this franchise, done a lot, but yer spot on. Hard for me to be in a clan, bungo changed my name, and then this “content” and I have to say as a solo now ~ the player base. I used to just hop on and drag someone into trials, just to get our asses kicked and laugh, or load into raids 2-man, see what we could do (you’d be surprised)… That “fun” feeling is gone. I could criticize the game but it’s been far worse before….

2 通の返信Destiny has done something I personally have never seen it do before, it dropped off the first page of steam charts. I know it'll go back up on Tuesday, but I've never seen it on the second page before. I would like to say it's because the game stinks, because for me it's not in a good place. But I also have to look at how the season can be finished up earlier and there really isn't much that FOMO is pulling people in for right now (which is actually a good thing). I don't want to go back to a season stretched out for 10 weeks and adding 10 LL for no particular reason other than because. I actually enjoy taking breaks and playing other games instead of no lifing this one. Anyways, I can see why people are farming checkpoints. It's what I'd be doing right now if I wasn't leaning towards Diablo IV. I haven't done the new dungeon and I have a ton of raid weapons I need to get patterns for.

RopeAdopeにより編集済み: 7/18/2023 5:45:38 PMImma tell you like I just told my nephew when he asked my opinion on whether its the players fault or the dev's fault. It's both. The devs are 100% responsible for the state of the game and the players are 100% responsible for playing the game. Simple as

What is sad is that literally all of this was predictable. Bungie made this mess and they're like "how were we to know??" The second they started breeding contempt and hostility in their player base the game started down hill real damn fast.

1 返信GIVE EM HELLBOYにより編集済み: 7/17/2023 7:40:38 PMD2s target audience is those with addiction problems. The game has been a chore to play since they left Activision. All because Bungie cracked the code on exploiting the human mind. Kinda funny considering Bungie has a whole mental health resource.

I'm a D1 Day1 player who, till this season, plays 1-2+ hours pretty much everyday I'm not away. This season, now that I have everything worthwhile (not even the new exotic scout yet), maybe 1-2 hours a week. Maybe. Heck I already guilded my IB last go around because there just was nothing fun left in the game to do so not even running that last week. Solstice. Have you seen the armor? I normally always jump right in for the armor. This year PASS!!! Rocket - PASS! Big bucks says the new zone is on Neomuna and they weakened us more and buffed the ads even more.
