We will get a name change when people can be trusted not to name themselves stuff that breaks the Code of Conduct (which will probably be never).

Bungie has one of the worst codes of conduct for usernames and even worse moderators that enforce them. You can get flagged for having "thickthighs" in your name. Name one code of conduct in any other gaming company that's that strict on usernames besides ones meant strictly for CHILDREN.

You do realize when someone’s name breaks ToS bungie changes it to guardian#1234 etc right? And for those who haven’t had that happen to them are probably within TOS because there names don’t include swear words or racial slurs. I think your just overreacting.

Also, I’m not “overreacting” I’m tired of seeing these names that are not even funny and could also be a sensitive subject for some people. Just cause someone thinks it’s “funny” doesn’t mean that the next person will find it “funny”. What I am saying is that who’s to say that, when Bungie gives [u]everyone[/u] another name change (even those who broke the Code of Conduct), that they will not simply go back to their name that broke the CoC? There are filters in place, yes, but people literally get around these filters with innuendos, get their names turned to Guardian#### [u]again[/u], come to the forums to complain and saying, “I never changed it! Give me a name change!” Or “It’s not [u]that[/u] bad! There’s worse!” and then they get mad when people say, “no, you get one name change.” Bungie literally reviews these names themselves and changes them if the filter doesn’t catch it, that’s a lot of work that can be easily prevented from just blatantly not giving another name change. It’s a mess.

Personally I could care less about other people’s name in D2 and those names don’t effect me at all, I made this post to ask a question and your the 2nd person against a simple name change haha these forums have some clueless people holy cow.

I’m not totally against it I’m just saying that who’s to say other people (maybe not you) wouldn’t take advantage of the 2nd name change? It takes only a few people to ruin something for everyone. Don’t blame me (or others) for the lack of a 2nd name change, go to these “Guardian####” people and blame [u]them[/u].
