STOP ACTIVATING WHETSTONE IN MATCHMAKING
If you want to do the exotic quest, make a group. Holy crap bungie completely killed deep dives. What an absolutely moronic way of going about this.

6 通の返信Nope. You are yelling at the wrong people. Players should be able to go in to complete any objective they need. BUNGIE deserves your yelling because of their poor planning. You can go into Nightfalls and select: >Hero >Legend >Grandmaster You should be able to go into Deep Dives and select: >Normal >Pressure Trial >Whetstone

Literally anything you can to get people to come touch the ole tolly wolly But Nope Extra loot? Why would they ever want that.

The exotic quest should of been a separate activity. Like every other exotic quest in the past. But, nope 🙄, they want is to play their boring seasonal playlist. So we stuck with it.

I just bail on 'em the first time I hear the activation of one of the broken blade things. If players want to do the exotic mission they should be using LFG. Better yet, [b]Bungo shouldn't have been completely stupid[/b] about the user interface to this and done something like Wither413 suggests below.

22 通の返信I wouldn't necessarily put this on Bungie. Logic dictates that if someone wants to do the Exotic quest, they'd want to create a team rather than going in with the hope that randoms will want to do the quest and be completely prepared for it. But that's a HUGE inconvenience, and it makes more sense to leave and restart the Deep Dive over and over until they get lucky.

5 通の返信Deep Dives are horribly implemented. First we had people leaving when others wouldn't activate Pressure Trials, now people will start leaving if they don't get the mission activated. This is what happens when you put a bunch of randoms in one activity, with multiple endings, and everyone wants something different. It's like playing Fallout 3 with someone else, and you're trying to make a good Karma character while they're trying to make a bad Karma character.

6 通の返信Yeah this was the decision that vexed me the most (pun intended) Whoever thought putting the quest in a seasonal match made activity needs to have their credentials revoked. If you want to be lazy and use 1/2 a deep dive to pad out the mission, and you want to have it matchmade, at least have it be a separate node in the helm. But don’t make it so now if I want to complete a deep dive to burn my keys, I have to hope that the other people aren’t trying to do that mission, and then leave if it doesn’t go their way. Which leads me to the OTHER boneheaded decision, why in the heck did they NOT allow join in progress? So now EVEN IF people leave, it can’t backfill.

13 通の返信I will continue to do it in matchmaking just to make bungie realize that they need to stop treating everyone like no lifers and streamers. Nobody asked for this try hard bullshit, no one wants it, no one seems to think the gun is even worth it. And you know what? It's a scout rifle, which means by its very nature no it is not worth it!

2 通の返信I think Bungie is just trolling the community now. There is no way you are going to convince me that this implementation of an exotic quest in this format was accidental They knew what they were doing, and they knew it would drive people nuts. I wonder what they will do next?

If you want to do deep dives right now, you’ll have to do lfg. Many players are attempting to get the scout. They SHOULD be using lfg instead, as your more likely to find success there. But they aren’t, so… You’ll have to swallow your pride and do this instead.
