I mean... Pick any archetype. It's ultimately the same as any other weapon of that archetype. Are there special perks on it? Sure. Do they matter? No.
Pick any two weapons, does it really feel like it makes a difference which you are shooting them with? Not really.
People cite lots of reasons why the game is in bad shape. Server issues, accidental bans, etc, I feel like the number one contributor though is the fact that through all of this we have reached the point where the game just feels inescapably stale.
The only thing that Destiny has going for it is new gear, and if new gear doesn't matter, well, people stop playing. Running on a treadmill only matters if you are improving, if you aren't improving and aren't having fun you're just wasting time.

2 通の返信If Bungie put true pinnacle weapons back in the game, it might actually be worth playing again, but I probably wouldn't bother because Bungie would end up making it a ridiculously long grind to obtain them,(Redrix's Broadsword anyone...) sunsetting them again, and/or otherwise nerfing them into the ground. They can't be trusted to respect my time investment, so I can't give them any of my time.

2 通の返信The Hermit IXにより編集済み: 7/4/2023 4:35:21 PMI don’t agree at all. There’s different weapons in every archetype that are great and ones that aren’t due to base stat distribution. There’s different weapons in every archetype that are more suited for PVE and ones that are more suited for PVP. There’s also different energy/kinetic types which leads to them being better suited for particular activities and builds. Perks and perk pools have a lot to do with what weapons are meta and can make an average weapon more desirable and they aren’t the same either. One nerf and everything can change. There’s also different frames and origin perks that make weapons more desirable or just flat out the better weapon in that archetype. There’s way more things involved with weapons and it’s shortsighted not to acknowledge that. You sound like you’re fishing for a new reason to complain.

1 返信This is so accurate it freaking hurts, Imo the main pain point to me is the variety. or the fact that the array of weapons does not matter at all because of the ability to infuse -blam!-. Why use any other weapon in pve when I can use the same weapon loadout I've been using for the past 2 to 3 years still works? IE this is the problem. It's not that weapons should be sunset but it would make things a lot more interesting if everyone's god-roll weapons were stuck at a certain point until the first raid is over. You know, just so they can actually engage in new content.

NotCreative123により編集済み: 7/4/2023 7:38:42 PMIf you're able to use whatever you want and succeed, then you aren't playing the right modes. Go play Comp or Trials or a GM. Those modes are challenging and force you to use at least something resembling the "ideal" roll of a weapon

1 返信Archetypes were a mistake. Shouldve had Borderlands' weapon system where attachments matter.

It's been like that since the launch of D2 it both way to late to fix that (though I don't think it needs fixing). If it's only become an issue for you recently maybe you're just bored of the game in general?
