How do people complain about fishing
Honestly makes no sense, tons if games have it as a mini-game like D2 does and yet people complain
After reading:
It seems people are just upset it exists and are salty, citing “oh it has a quest and RNG” or “it’s getting more attention than the rest of the game”.
When honestly its not getting more attention fishing is as barebones as it got with only a small amount of unique fish per planet. As well when it comes to the RNG players begged for this aspect in the game for so long with exotics. A exotic fish in D2 isn’t as close to a D1 exotic drop so this quest being tied to it brings back that excitement. But as per usual people hate grinding in a looter shooter.
Fishing is one of the best aspects of this game atm, its a good place to go after you finish farming so you and your friends can relax. If you wanna make it your personal hell dont push that on others.
Bungie hasn’t forced you to do anything, you have a year to do this quest and when the year is over its gonna be in a kiosk for 1 cipher

3 通の返信Personally I hate fishing in this game. Feels distorted and out of place however I understand that there are those who like it. I hope Bungie keeps it at least in the tower for those people that do. That being said Deep Dives and Salvage feel pretty lame so I think a lot of the disliking of it comes from people who feel fishing got more attention than the actual gameplay of Destiny. I’ve got other reasons but I’m tired and lazy. TL:DR mixing strawberry energy powders with orange gatorade is delicious.

8 通の返信The reason why people complain is because it's crap. Simple as that really. A boring quest tied to rng, tied to a triumph for the seal. Forced to play boring crap isn't fun.

10 通の返信The problem is that it is tied with an exotic weapon. To get that exotic weapon you need to get exotic fish from Nessus, Savathun Throne world and probably edz next week. Getting exotic fish is filled with RNG some people has caught 500+ fish and no exotic fish .So it's understandable why it's not liked. Imo fishing is pretty mid. it was kinda fun for the first couple of days and then it just got very boring. PS I am not complaining about fishing I am just giving my opinion. Have a nice day

4 通の返信It's not that it simply exists, it's how poorly it was implemented, and the fact that they are time gating certain fish from even being caught just to stretch out an exotic weapon quest.

I’m referring about the ones that feel the need to put up threads about it and want it removed, not the ones who don’t like fishing. I can’t even begin to list the amount of exotics and shards I’ve gotten from mashing a button. I’ve upgraded many exotic armor pieces this season through the multiple avenues they’ve provided and fishing is one of the main ways. I have more 70 stat exotics with great distribution than I did before this season started.

3 通の返信I don’t necessarily have a problem with it… I just don’t see the point if it’s not here to stay. Personally, I would love it if this type of stuff was expanded on. I would love it if we had skill trees for fishing, cooking, crafting, etc… being able to cook some food that provides buffs for my friends would be AWESOME!

2 通の返信I don't get it myself. It requires next to no effort and rewards Exotics, possible Ascendant Shards, and gear that can either be kept or dismantled. When I play it, I listen to music and read stuff on my laptop. Doesn't get much easier.

1 返信cuz players now love FREE rewards for no grind, and when bungie add a rng grind like old days they get mad like kids
