After seeing how atrocious the execution of something as innovative as Destiny was reduced down to a corporate microtransaction money grab with a forgettable story, a mindless weekly rotation, and a boring seasonal model made solely for the purpose to bleed out the newest mundane content, is there really any faith in this company left to not mimic the same mistakes and overall execution of Marathon?
It just really sucks that none of the leadership feel the need to at least apologize to those who have been around since vanilla Destiny (PVP mains especially). I often times find myself thinking about how invested Bungie was in this game in the past with raids, secret missions, exotic weapons quests (the Outbreak Prime secret was so damn good), etc.
The love is obviously non-existent now and I have zero faith in Marathon being any different. It’s a shame because I’m sure those at Bungie making this content feel the same way as us and are essentially being forced by the upper echelons of leadership to create trash content (like, fishing…really?) and be forced to put on a smile and act like nothing is wrong.

I have no plans to buy Marathon. The preview did not impress me, though little is known about the game at this time. PvP games in general are using Trueskill2, which locks a player into a rank that is difficult or impossible to escape. Bungie is going down this same path. I have no interest in playing a game which restricts my progression.

2 通の返信Absolutely not. Can no longer support this trash company. Lost all respect, specially playing the latest turd they call Destiny 2. no longer a game to be played, more a game to be played by. Trash!

1 返信How far out is its release date? A lot can change between now and then, yet people are talking as though it drops tomorrow. Wait until the time gets closer and then start polling about it.

There has yet to be any gameplay footage released, or preferably a playable demo. With this in mind, I've no interest in Marathon at the moment. Right now, the only game I'm really excited about that's coming later this year is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The Plucky Squire is also a game I'm hoping comes to retail.
