Bungie, upgrade your servers or remove cross play. My internet is fine, interactions with playstation and pc players is fine. But Xbox and PS users all look like lag switchers to each other. One thing's for sure, if you ban me from matchmaking for problems on your end then I'm done with this company for good.
Edit because people don't bother to read the replies before commenting the same exact thing. So.
1. Sorry I used the term fast lol I do admit I should've used stable
2. I know the difference between speed and stability
3. My PS5 is on a STABLE 213mbs down, 90 up. It's very reliable, plus it's a separate network specifically dedicated to gaming on my PS5. I do in fact monitor it.
4. I play more than just Destiny for online PvP, I do not ever have issues with unstable connections in other games
5. Bungie is -blam!- well known for having awful servers. When all of you are getting kicked and error coded, I don't. Rarely, if ever, do I get kicked. To the point where I chuckle when I see people saying they can't stay in the game for more than a minute. THEY need better internet.
6. This was literally on the same day that ALL MATCHMAKING FOR THE ENTIRE GAME BROKE

2 通の返信So about your edit, you say you do understand speed is not so relevant by then still quote your numbers, nice, along with the word STABLE in big letters. So how do you know? What makes you believe it is stable? The comment about other games working fine is not a surprise, Destiny uses a unique network model that relies more on all players connections than most games, it also requires a persistant connection to Bungie's account servers, their data/asset feeding servers during PvP and every other player in the lobby. And all this runs through the Steam Datagram Relay (a VPN for gaming networks to prevent Ddos and throttling). Honestly its a miracle it works at all. That said I rarely have any issues, certainly not to the levels that people in here complain about. I can count on one hand the amount of really laggy players I've encountered in the last year. It doesn't take much to cause micro-disconnections and because of the "fragile" way Destiny works these cause a lot of issues where other games are able to smooth over them with predictive rendering and other techniques. And actually playing on servers helps! So I'm curious to know what you count as stable, not being argumentative here but to really know you'll need to find some software to run on your computer which runs for (ideally) a few hours, swapping packets with various return servers and measuring the ping, noise, loss etc. over a period of time and at different peak times. Just running Speedtest a few times doesn't cut it. Also try calling your ISP and asking for some tests to be run, I worked for AT&T for a while and we had tools for this kind of thing but not sure about other companies. Also, I'm assuming you're not on wifi right? Anyway, good luck and I hope it gets better for you.

2 通の返信You do realise that speed has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with connection quality, don't you?

4 通の返信You do know that speed is not everything and most players have more than enough Internet speed to play any game unless they are having Internet issues.... and that includes having multiple people in your household using the Internet at the same time. Have you even looked at your Internet signal quality to see if you are having problems. When was the last time you reset your router and then cleared your system's cache to refresh your Internet connection as recommended by all ISP and platform providers to be done regularly.

1 返信I have never been banned for internet stability in all my years of Destiny. Then again, I've never used a lag switch either, so...

4 通の返信Fast internet is not the same as stable internet. 99% of players with unstable internet have a poorly configured network. It’s entirely possible for 50mbps internet to be far more stable than 1000mbps internet, it all comes down to the network/router configuration.

Just FYI, speed has nothing to do with the strength of your connection. Not saying it IS your fault. **Still a very good chance it isn't**, but having the fastest internet in the world can still yield issues. Speed =/= stability.

I just got my second 2-week suspension. The day before, I kept getting beagle errors (only fix is to Uninstall according to Bungie) I Redownloaded the game and unistalled 4x. Each time, it took 15 minutes to redownload the whole game... I have a router that costs more than a ps5... I use gold plated ethernet cables for faster transfer speeds. I can show hours of myself not lagging on other people's screens. Bungie doesn't track bad internet. Otherwise, people who lag every day would be banned. Its bad players spam reporting good players for their bad connection since they get ran while seeing them lag when it's their internet. Bungies, the most trash company of all time, is crazy the incompetence.

4 通の返信If you got a warning that means you are definitely lag switching so many kids using McDonald’s Wi-Fi on a laptop

2 通の返信Speed don't mean -blam!-. A Ferrari on the expressway is the same as a beater if they both get lost when they hit the city. Look into port forwarding/triggering and QoS settings on your router. I have up to 4 players simultaneously on my connection with no issues.
