In terms of gameplay destiny 2 is arguably the best shooter around. The visuals and music are top tier.
After watching aztecross and kackis in which I often disagree with them but this time they're spot with their videos. Microtransactions and your servers. It seems your whole player base agrees with them.
Why is this important to bungies future? Well the new game marathon. I'm sure the gameplay with be brilliant. Yet, no matter what bungie says the trust is broken. I can't speak for everyone but how many people with be put off with buying marathon? Actions speak louder than words. If the community feels the way I do about the state of destiny. It's already a bad sign for marathon.

They have ?! They have made millions from us , they tested lots of in game change on us , we were literally a testing ground for marathon and Bungie continue to make huge profits from us . Bungie have new games coming up . Bungie are a business which will keep rolling with us or with out the destiny community.

Bungie isn't an indie Studio, it is at it's core a money making behemoth valuated at their ability to successfully make more money on a smaller player base. What the MBA's didn't account for was the game was fun when they started piling that stuff (microtransactions, 0 content year over year for core game types, unmitigated cheating and a new narrative model that makes the game a SNORE every week all year. "Reputational Harm" should be what they start to research because they're no longer the studio that brought us Halo. They are now some folks that were around for Halo and a new team that barely managed Destiny 1 and when that couldn't be saved so they rebranded DESTINY 2! .... but a name change is meaningless when you clearly haven't learned your lesson. Sonys expectations are high on the monetization potential but now Bungie risks a silent player base on their next game and no promise another studios content can be monetized with the same efficacy. So Marathon has a LOT riding on it and no good will from players because Bungie is convinced it doesn't need it.

Marathon is their future now but hopefully for they sake it better be gd then being a tarkov clone when the genre already getting big now off the trend If they want Marathon to be gd they gonna have to think outside the box to become unique then just having retro pretty visuals Saw what happened to all the BR games trying to chase trends

4 通の返信Their future is making boatloads off the fools who will happily replace gameplay with looking cool by buying ornaments and emotes.

3 通の返信
Bungie really needs to consider their future.
They have, they literally used you guys as lab rates for 6 years to see what they could get away with, and they found out that they could give you a turd and not even a special one at that, and you'll buy it. There is nothing they need to think about 🤷♂️

Bungie have considered their future …..once d2 is finished which is long , they have Marathon ready to go and other games in the works . Bungie are making millions from destiny so yeah Bungie will keep rolling with us or without us 🤷🏼♂️

Definitely won't be put off buying marathon. Why are people acting like this the first time in history that a company reinvested money into something new? And the weird thing is they did it with a bunch of optional costs and oh btw probably money from investors and who knows where. It's not like they just said destiny shall now pay for marathon and switched the eververse routing info. Then there's also the complete absence of any mention of the stuff in this game that the money has obviously gone to.

The Hermit IXにより編集済み: 6/21/2023 10:04:38 PMDo you actually think they need to consider their future based on any scenario being presented by the Karen’s on the forums? They did what they thought was in their best interest and parted with Activision. Became self published and sold off to Sony for billions of dollars. Billions. They’re making money hand over fist with D2. They will make money hand over fist with Marathon. It’s like a bunch of 12 year olds trying to convince their parents that icecream for dinner is a good idea. You’re delusional.

Bungie and their investors have been laughing their way to the bank for years, what makes you think they will change their ways because a few nobodies are posting in a forum that they don't even look at?😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

3 通の返信I'm 100% certain that Bungo have their future plans well sorted and in order as far as their business is concerned. To think that they don't is really very nieve.

It's really going to be interesting to see how we pay for marathon. Almost anything now will cause people to wonder why they have the audacity to ask for money in return for anything. Money? You've got to be kidding me! The biggest determinant in whether their games sell is whether they're good enough to sell a lot. All the stuff has always been selling regardless of what some people hallucinate so marathon will probably be fine.

1 返信You know something I have seen a game which you buy (thing is that game is still in it's alpha stage years later) and uses microtransactions to skip the grind and buying new ships. These are sold in packs or separately and cost THOUSANDS of dollars. Some ships need you to buy other packs first to unlock the option to spend more money to purchase them. So D2 is no where near the worst.

1 返信Don't you think they want the Fortnite, Apex, Tarkov tweens that don't know the value of their parents money they are spending? I don't think they care too much about the perceptions of the Destiny player base with concerns to Marathon. This was a testbed. In the same way that everyone was frustrated when D1 started to fall off cause all the talent was working on D2... They know why you're mad and they are listening. And I'm sure that they are, but not necessarily with the intention to act on your concerns. They developed Marathon, they expect someone to be playing it. It will probably play well and look beautiful and then somewhere along they will half -blam!- that too while piecemealing it out. They reminded us about the emblem to commemorate it's announcement. I wonder how many people wear that? I've seen a handful. But the same people that are "definitely quiting" on the next heartbreak are the same ones buying silver and paying them not to make much more than animations for the next floss dance. Ornaments. Shaders. They will probably play Marathon religiously too. It's a business. It's sad Destiny will probably never be everything it could have been. It's still amazing and we definitely get many hours of gameplay out of it. The individual departments and the people therein have done an incredible job. The people that make the choices are trying to please everyone, and that's not possible. I don't want to play an extraction shooter. I will probably try it cause I like the feel of OG Halo and Destiny. I want us, the community and devs, to commit to making Destiny the best possible version of itself. That said, we all have a different idea of what that looks like. And some people are not honest enough about the experience to put forth an opinion with that as a goal.
