I personally would rather it not drain my super just so I can get 9 free shots off without wasting ammo. All they need to do is buff the RPM up to 90 instead of 72. Also add Rewind Rounds or Reconstruction to the catalyst. If that isn’t a good buff to it to make people want to actually use it. Then what they should is just move it to the Special slot lower the damage of it to compensate of course. Do that on top of buffing the RPM to 90 and adding Rewind Rounds or Reconstruction to the catalyst. Bungie already stated they don’t want weapons getting free ammo. That’s why they changed Whisper and why they won’t add Icebreaker or Invective to Destiny 2. So doing my change is honestly probably the only realistic change they can do to Whisper.

After thinking about it, reconstruction will be weird on whisper as it’s entire premise is that it overflows the mag and it’s thing is to refill its mag when all hits are head shots Rewind rounds kinda fall into that same area as well, as it does grant another way to refill its mag but your going to aim for headshots anyway to do that, so it’s kind of a wasted perk Now a bit of me thought about it and I think putting it into the energy slot and probably giving it vopal weapon and maybe boost its box breathing damage could work?

Honestly the only issue I really have with it is that it’s a 72 RPM sniper in Heavy slot. Making it into a 90 RPM sniper would make it feel 10x better. Then maybe adding like 30 extra stability on top of that. If reconstruction or rewind rounds wouldn’t be good on it. Then moving it to the Special slot, buff the RPM to 90 RPM, the catalyst should add Vorpal and 30 extra stability. That would probably be the safest choice to get more people to use it. They could also maybe lower the amount of zoom it has as well. I personally think that Whisper and Darci both shouldn’t be in the Heavy slot. I don’t even care that they would have to lower the damage of them to compensate moving them into the Special slot.

So, faster shots, more stability, less flinch and zoom, vorpal and box breathing still makes it a power house of a sniper and still worth an exotic slot

Another thing that would make it worth using. Is make it so the more crits you land in a row increases the damage of the weapon. If that’s to strong then I was thinking to make it so after 3 crits hit the next 3 shots do increase damage. Then it refreshes after that so pretty much every other mag after hitting 3 crits does increase damage.

Honestly while that does sound nice, we don’t want it to just break the game so, while that sounds like it would make it a true powerhouse, we have to at least make it sound balanced

It really won’t break the game if they move it to a Special. I do agree if it stayed a heavy that would be way to strong. At least with what I said it’ll actually be an exotic with something that no other weapon has.
