this. yes, 100 percent. even WITH stompeez, we are slower than the other classes.

I admire your commitment to getting up on the soap box and preaching the truth with me. Its an uphill battle though, 5 years later we hunters still need to dispel the illusion that mobility increases sprint speed as an example or the many other myths that surrounding the class.

Dont worry Im equally hated and get bashed on for my KD even though I cliff jumped for 6 straight seasons in trials. So many many of the commenters here frequently find the time to reply to every topic I make and call me an elitist or pos.

Hunters have easily the best jump for PvP, Dodge, 3 of the 5 subclasses have a dive manoeuvre (1 of which doesn't have a cooldown or consume an ability charge), Stompees added huge, unconditional value to that. They meant you could avoid being punished for bad positioning and movement because you were much harder to hit and could escape more easily. Video demonstration of the huge gap in movement abilities: https://youtu.be/uA5gz_SLvgs?t=354 This was before the nerf, and the only movement ability that either Warlocks or Titans have been given since then is Arc Titan's Thruster. Solar Warlock Phoenix Dive was significantly nerfed in its capacity as a movement tool, the Shoulder Charge family of melees was just nerfed and Hunters have been begging for Icarus Dash to be nerfed for years.

?????? What does my Hunter's light have to do with anything? Your Titan is your lowest character, therefore everything you just said about Titans can be ignored, right? Hunter is the only class that can actually change direction entirely within their jump - you can use the first jump in Triple Jump to go one way and the second to go another. Warlocks and Titans can't change direction without the use of another ability, but Hunters also have access to that.

I main Warlock and, nowadays, I only play on the other two classes when I'm desperate for new Raid/Dungeon Exotics. Would you care to address any of my points, or are you just going to continue this in bad faith because you can't accept that a long-overdue nerf finally happened?
-
Yes, it was. It has been necessary right from the very beginning of D2. Remember when the PC version didn't exist, next-gen consoles hadn't been released and everyone was on old Xbox Ones or PS4s playing at 72 FoV? Of course not, it wasn't for very long and it wouldn't support your narrative to include a time like that. "Never" is a strong word to throw around. You clearly have no interest in having a genuine discussion or trying to justify any point you want to make, so there's no point in continuing this any further.

Wow, what an original response. Every usage stat pointed to Stompies being too good. There were several top players, far better than you or me, that called for them to be nerfed. No one who was impartial thought they were fine. You are in denial, end of. Grow up, move on and learn to have a discussion like a normal, amicable person.

Coolguy's stats are in the same ballpark as yours, and I don't think you'd class yourself as "a bit above average at best". Drewsky is another one that comes to mind. I certainly recall Mercules saying that Stompees were problematic, too, and he works for Bungie now. I don't think the experience of tournament players is to be valued so much. D2 has no real competitive scene at all, the closest you get is scrims and small events. I've seen some of the ridiculous rules they play by - Scout Rifles and Bows not allowed, one Sniper per team, arbitrarily long item banlists. Anything that isn't super fast-paced Hand Cannon + Shotgun aping, which Stompees greatly aid in, is considered blasphemous, so of course those players would be against a nerf to them. Such a closed environment is not remotely representative of the real game.

I was a 1.9 and climbing as a solo player before the sbmm changes and solo comp grind. Coolguy has always been a 1.5 player and he doesn't even play solo. Regardless, drewsky is a good player but I don't value his words over players like wallah, goldxeagle, panduh, frostbolt etc. and mercules is far from a pvp savant. Stompeez were a problem for old gen with 30 fps 70 fov and low sens movement. Who the hell loses track of players with stompeez now? They nerfed an exotic that needed to be nerfed in 2017 now that there's no need for it. Hunters are neither the fastest or more agile class even with them unnerfed. Warmhusk/omni/yas nerfs? Sure, they make sense because they are super cheesy. But stompeez, come one man. I guess it's time to spam tripmines for cheap kills. I am convinced the pve patrol team is now in charge of pvp. Every change, starting with sbmm has been to lower the skill gap.

Part Timerにより編集済み: 6/6/2023 5:52:05 AMstompeez WERE a problem before we got the ads sensitivity separate from hip fire. after that turn movement change, stompeez stopped being an issue. I love how Antaeus aren't remotely an issue, in bungie's eyes and stompeez were, because we need them to keep up with the other class movement now.
