Mobility as a whole needs a change, as the fact that Hunters actually have to spec into it for their Class Ability is a disadvantage in and of itself for them, and it acts as an almost completely useless stat for both Titans and Warlocks.
Resilience is the most mandatory stat in the game for all 3 Classes to have at 100, and that gives an extra bonus to Titan’s with their Barricades.
Recovery is probably the second or third most mandatory stat in the game for all 3 Classes to have at 100, and that gives an extra bonus to a Warlock with their Wells.
Mobility is the least mandatory stat in the game for Titans and Warlocks, but is pretty mandatory for Hunters if they wanna have good uptime on their Class Ability.
Resilience and Recovery are directly tied to a player’s survivability in both PVE and PVP, while all Mobility does is:
• Increase your walking speed (completely useless)
• Increase your strafe speed (only useful in PVP)
• Increase the height of only your regular jump (almost completely useless)
Now, here’s a buff idea that would make Mobility useful to all 3 Classes, and even more useful to Hunters:
• Increase both your walking and sprinting speed.
• Increase your slide distance.
• Increase the height and/or distance of your regular jump and movement ability.
That way, if a player actually specs into Mobility, going to 100 Mobility would give all 3 Classes what is essentially St0mp-ee5. Imagine, Titans and Warlocks getting their own taste of St0mp-ee5.
And at that point, St0mp-ee5 could basically just be deleted from the game. The only reason any Hunter even uses St0mp-ee5 is because Mobility just doesn’t do enough. And if Titans and Warlocks also got what is essentially St0mp-ee5, they wouldn’t be able to complain about Hunters getting a little extra jump height, sprint speed and slide distance.
This change would also just add more movement to the game for all 3 Classes.
EDIT: Class Abilities are by no means a part of this discussion, and this buff I’m talking about wouldn’t affect a Hunter’s dodge. The only way it would affect a Hunter’s dodge is less cooldown time, but that’s solely because Hunters would have more inventive to go for 60+ Mobility.
This whole idea is basically something that would make Mobility equal to Resilience and Recovery in value and usefulness.
Or, hell, even give all 3 of the Classes a focus.
Titans naturally being more tanky than the two classes.
Hunters naturally being faster than the other two classes.
Warlocks naturally having more ability usage and acting as support, like a mage of sorts.
Kinda puts the 3 classes into RPG roles.

15 通の返信Well in destiny 1 there used to be a advantage for titans in resilience, warlocks recovery and Hunters mobility. When destiny 2 came along only Hunters mobility carried over. No surprise there

6 通の返信Hunter is still, as always the PvP class. Any buff to Mobility will just be further elimination of the other two underperforming Classes in PvP. Mobility mods are still cheaper, at 3 cost to additionally offset it. It's not that hard to manage - High Mobility + resilience for PvE High Mobility + recovery for PvP

Though I think it might be awkward, dodging further than usual if that is what you mean by "movement ability". I quite like the idea of giving it 2.5 handling and reload per tier for all weapons, so the hunters get a "lighter" gunfeel and have something else to show for in pvp.

2 通の返信A buff to Mobility is essentially a direct buff to Hunters. Hunters don't need any buffs to be viable in PVP. I don't know about PVE, but I think they're fine. If you want Mobility to matter, remove the link between Class Ability cooldowns and Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery. Create a new Stat that only governs Class Ability cooldowns. If you do that, now you're free to balance the 3 stats without accidentally buffing one class

I’ve tried to not run stompee and it feels so slow honestly. I tried frosty, dragonshadow, and they are no where near. I use stompee mostly for faster sprint, and longer slide, to play more aggressively and get out of sticky situations. I don’t really utilise the jump hight as can’t hit anything in air. I will probably run YAS until it’s nerfed, play more passively, and hope opponents walk into the tripmine lol

Increased strafe speed is useful in pve. Enemies don't have aimbot. Increased jump height let's hunters make jumps they wouldn't otherwise. Useful all around. Increased walk speed... I don't know. Maybe it helps with relics that slow you down? It's meh at best. If yah want hunters to get buffed fine by me. Mobility however, is not useless
