I’m sorry for all of you who like the live action remakes, but let me just say that all of them are bad, why would you remake a movie when people can just watch the original movie and get the same if not better experience, instead of making creative and original movies, Disney is just digging through their vault trying to find a movie that they can remake into live action, soon they’re probably going to start making animated remakes of the live action remakes!

Speakerにより編集済み: 5/15/2023 12:25:26 PMDisney has been creatively bankrupt for several years, remakes and rehashes are all you have left to look forward to, that plus the new crap that's formulated to have so many actors of a certain characteristic, stories to suit the values of the loudest sections of society. Etc etc. Little bits of programming and visual design meant to market a different kind of "-blam!-" to kids- Disney did it before so why wouldn't they do it now, (Sleeping beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, POCAHANTAS) there are just new hands at the wheel these days who want to market something that certain small portions of society will gobble up regardless of its true value or morals. As for the folks who hate it; they have a saying; any publicity is good publicity. Good actors are good actors, and the right actors for the part are not those who's skin color is a certain shade, but those who embody the role best. Gay characters I dont care about- trans characters; care less; as long as they are in an original work, and not shoehorned into another work to "update it for the times". absolutely not. Heresy, sacrilege, desecration.

21 通の返信Animation hasn’t been doing well, that’s why. Hopefully the success of the Mario Movie changes that, but the simple fact is people aren’t going to see animated movies as much anymore. Which sucks, because animation>live action, but that’s just how it is. Though I will say, Beauty & the Beast & Jungle Book live action remakes were great.

I must say, the new little mermaid is a bit wack. I mean I get that the og was a soft metaphor for interracial relationships but they didn’t have to go in for a penny and in for a pound to defy mermaid anatomy in casting an African-American actress to fill in for the iconic red-headed pale ariel of the classic movie. I realize now I just said mermaid anatomy like they’re a real thing and now I must go rethink my life

3 通の返信Cinderella was justified, as the original movie was a bit bland to begin with by today's standards, but why remake Beauty and the Beast? It was already arguably one of the greatest animated films of all time. Every other one has been fine in a vacuum, but when compared to their animated counterparts, and with the knowledge that modern Disney isn't very artistically driven, they get less and less enjoyable as time goes on.

I liked Jungle Book. I never saw the animated version. I did not like the Aladdin live action. Will Smith was too full of himself if he thought he was up for remaking a part Robin Williams perfected. Lion King was ok-ish. I watched Beauty and the Beast out of boredom over the holidays. meh. I know the Little Mermaid is out now, but I won't see it until it's released to tv if even then, and I'm once again that bored. I read recently that they will be doing a Moana live action, and the Rock will reprise his role, but I'm really rather getting tired of seeing him in everything anymore.

They might be doing new versions of their classics since their new merger deal (or whatever it is) is going to possibly have a good deal of things vaulted again. I don't know the details, but I'm not especially looking forward to it.
