I'm not gonna try to rant so heavy on this game its bad but it also has some goods into it but for the community, and the dev team combine yeah I don't think so..
I can read everything "Like a PvE main", and "I'm trash at PvP" really I can care less for both these things since I mainly want to have fun since yeah "Games were made to be fun". So what happen to that phrase with Destiny, COD, almost any game really? I can still have fun during a certain game mode or raid yet when it comes down to "High skill cap game modes" I kinda shake my head saying those shouldn't exist. I will say the same thing as one Youtuber I know "Destiny is made to be a RPG MMO so it will be treated as one" So explain to me how come PvP or Even Gambit even consider game modes? Activates yeah I can understand that, and with the right limitations works correctly.
PvP however there are basically no limitations if Meta exist where "Building your own character" was suppose to be the main idea yet its simple as "Monkey See Monkey Do" however banning Third Party software is basically win for most companies. Than you get back to the bad of how bad the Meta's are in the game.. You barley have any options compare to anything else you either use the Meta or you can try your best without using meta, and have people roast you because you aren't using what's meta. (Lastly if you think this is -blam!- than dear god your just a young teen or kid that doesn't know how games were fun years ago..)
This games has major issues yet like I said it can have its fun moments it just no longer there for most games or the game modes in Destiny 2. Its kinda sad but what are we gonna do?

4 通の返信Yeah but people don’t help ! People play destiny for different reasons …habit , addiction, fomo . I used to be addicted and felt I had to do all activities. Now I only play for fun and hardly touch any activities apart from Quickplay 🤷🏼♂️

5 通の返信The game industry got people fooled into thinking pointlessly hard content is good content.

1 返信Define "fun". I like souls games. I like Diablo resurrected. Not everyone finds them "fun". I do, but I like repetition in some games so that I can just turn off my brain and have some "fun". Destiny, I like the shoot mechanics. Blowing stuff up. I wouldn't say many of the grindy things are "fun" to me, but I still have fun shooting things while I grind. It's all about perspective.

5 通の返信Games aren’t really fun anymore. You have too many angry people trying to live vicariously through video games, thinking what they achieve in a video game is grounds to belittle and make fun of people that don’t take it as seriously. They’ll kick you out of raids, teabag you in PvP, tell you that you aren’t good enough to play with them - it’s actually gotten out of control in the last year or two. I have a good life so I don’t need that kind of challenge in my spare time. But that opinion will be met with words like entitlement, get good, etc. Bungie need to model this game more around teamwork and less around competitiveness - in this game you are even competing for kills in cooperative events… For a company that is supposed to care about mental health I can’t think of a more toxic place to spend your time - I’ve even seen it in my own little circle of friends that play… I just play as many things solo as I can because I still love playing this game - I just don’t need the baggage that comes with it…

2 通の返信This game is made for people who live on Destiny, Twitch and Twitter. It’s a competitive ego fest where they try to make as much money as possible by repeatedly throwing the game out of balance and then nerfing everything to shift balance again, so that people are forced to keep grinding. And so that streamers can make videos. H ey, they’re the ones promoting the weapons and then crying for nerfs. Funny how that goes together, isn’t it …

2 通の返信Fun is subjective and a lot of people got used to games being easy and now confuse ease for fun so when something is made mildly challenging, they view it as unfun and begin tantrums because they can't turn off their brain and bot walk through the content to get the lil dopamine hit at the end.

1 返信Not all games are made to be fun though. Some games are specifically made to scare you, like Visage. Some games are made to challenge you, like Souls games. Other games are made to test your PvP combat skills, like CS:GO. And some games aim to cash in on the popularity of one or more of those other genres, but never really do any of it that well. That's where Destiny is at right now. Not like a total "F" grade flop, but not really an "S" tier genre defining game either. More like a C+.

Its kinda sad but what are we gonna do?
A lot of this has to do with how the business has issues within itself as a business. The project has been constantly handed over to someone else and it's been this way since D1 was released. New leads, new crews, new CEOs, Management, etc... and then there is Activision, NetEase, Microsoft, and now Sony, and all of them have had their hand in this. All of this and many other things affect how a game is designed because they all have their own "vision" of what the game should be or what direction the game should head and the game is constantly changing making matter worse. Yeah, it's no wonder D2 is a mess and has never had a foundation, identity, set path, goal, or anything to come near a complete game. (All the above literally proves that.) It's all about who is taking over next and what is being removed, changed, etc... because this business has been unable to get their act together for 16 years now. Some like how things are but to each their own 🤷♂️

2 通の返信Fun is relative. Some people don’t have fun in PvP modes, doesn’t matter how “good” they are. For some PvE is little more than a short diversion and PvP is where the fun of the game is really had. And despite what some here may want to believe, there are those that really enjoy Gambit and want to see the mode improve and grow. Some people may have fun when the game is at its hardest. Where success is not guaranteed, and death and failure are all but inevitable. Others may only find fun when the game is a pushover and your character feels unopposed. Many are somewhere in the middle.

9 通の返信35 here, and I remember when games were made to be significantly harder than they needed to be because there was no online modes or updates after they were released. So in order to maximize play times, games were often extremely unforgiving. Imagine if in destiny when you died 3x you had to start over completely from scratch o.o

5 通の返信I actually just did all the heroic nightfalls I needed to get the pinnacle for the week and it was actually fun, didn't feel like a chore.

I don't know what you're talking about. I think this game is the best it's ever been in terms of "fun." My only complaint was the trash campaign & story missions that came with LF. The content & the game play is fantastic. Considering the player base numbers are absolutely booming - even a month after the expansion's release - I'd say you're definitely in the minority here, boss.
