Let me preface this by quickly addressing all the "find an lfg" or "this isnt the game for you" or "its not supposed to be a solo experience" people that may chime in. You play your way, i'll play mine. So often, when Bungie makes a change that a lot of the community doesnt like the reaction is "why wont they let us play the game the way we want to?" But when a solo player makes a comment about the solo experience the immediate reaction is "Stop complaining! Play the game our way!" I have a clan. I have people to play with if i really want to. But i speak to people all day and in my wind down time i like running around in Destiny, popping alien heads and not needing to talk.
That said, as a solo player I have grown used to all the content I am locked out of. Nightfalls higher than "hero", raids, legend seasonal content...all stuff I'll never be able to do casually. That's fine. Last season, you gave us the solo operative mod and I was so pleased. As a solo player it was nice to see that you had thought of us and gave us something we could use. With that mod and a decent build I ran the Seraph Shield mission solo legendary every week for the full Revision Zero. This season I figured Avalon would be similar. Boy, was I wrong. Certainly no where near as solo friendly as Seraph Shield. I'll dig back into it and see what I can do with a different build, but it would be so nice to see that mod come back as a permanent mod so that solo players can feel that Bungie is thinking of us from time to time.

You should play the game the way you want to. There should be no right or wrong way to play. This game is missing out on solo players. Personally I have taken a break from the game and enjoying other games that cater to my solo playing style. But I am always looking for them to make changes and if they do I will jump back in.

4 通の返信Instead of that mod being intrinsic, I think every activity should scale the difficulty by fireteam size. I want to be able to solo flawless dungeon bosses with only 1-3 damage phases, not 4-6+.

3 通の返信I love raiding. I love group activity. I love the multiplayer aspect of this game. However, I also love the solo play experience too. I've found some of the most fun times I've had were when I was playing solo. There's just something about the lack of others to weigh you down or get in your way that just feels like a breath of fresh air. Getting to this game play on your own schedule and at your own pace feels almost therapeutic at times. Unfortunately the game isn't really designed around that. Yeah there are lost sectors, patrols, and dungeons, but patrols are boring solo after a very short while. Lost sectors have gotten an extremely steep difficulty spike and aren't really fun anymore. Dungeons can have some good moments, but the bosses were obviously meant for a group of 3 to do about 2 or 3 damage phases, so you have to be doing over 3 times the damage of the average player to make them bearable, unless you like doing 5+ damage phases. Anything above 3 damage phases is just absurd and stupid to me. It's literally the only reason I don't solo dungeons, because 15+ minute, 3+ damage phase fights are just stupid and absolutely NOT fun in any way to me.

8 通の返信As solo player who stopped doing Raids when D1 ended I feel this in my soul. Half the game I cannot even play. For years all I’ve wanted is a match making option for higher difficulty strikes. When Dungeons first came out it was awesome cause it had match making options. Then they removed it and added Champions till it broke the community. Thankfully Champions seemed much more manageable this DLC. But still I can’t even enjoy a nice solo exotic mission in D2??? Ridiculous. And no I will not use LFG anymore. I don’t like playing with jerks and I don’t like getting spam emails and chatbots cause I used a LFG forum. Cause that happens with every dang LFG site, even here. Bungie needs to do something for us solo players. Give us options to do all “Strikes” solo or match making options for higher tier. I don’t care how. Something…Anything, Bungie.

11 通の返信The only thing that irks me about this is that you are gatekeeping yourself from content. None of the activities you mentioned require any comms. The D2 PC LFG discord is an amazing resource. You can find groups within a couple minutes for these activities and you wouldn’t have to say a single word to anybody as you pop heads together and get loot. Just food for thought, brother.

1 返信I LOVE Solo Operative. I used the sh*t out of that last season myself, and said the exact same thing, I really would like it to, at least come back from time to time like Volatile Flow. It made things really fun, and I actually had drive to do more. I've never understood the "its not a solo game" people either, especially when Bungie is always rolling out incentives to do things solo. Clearly its meant to be played multiple ways. I know my clan, its a matter of being busy with general life duties like jobs and families. We all have things going on, and its actually really hard to get 6 of us together. We can do three, but Lightfall has pretty much killed our drive to touch Destiny. This has made it even harder to group. The game is just not feeling great, and needs aloooot of help.

4 通の返信Dude, it was the resilience that was helping more than the 15% damage boost I bet. If you were running 100 anyhow. 15% more damage is cool, but it won’t keep you alive. That is all resistances and build and general awareness.

I honestly do not feel that it should be a mod. We already have scaling in some activities that are related to fireteam size. Why do they not scale enemy power across the entire game? I don't think I removed the mod once last season (I also ran pretty much the entire season in 'solo mode' (time change on the console or solo script running on the pc) so it's not like I didn't enjoy it but if the level scaling were done properly then there would be no need for having a solo mod.

I have been basically a solo player since the beta. I have been in several clans but play solo more often. As you said many times you don’t want to put up with the B S you just want to play the game. Something to help us solo players out would be great!

1 返信These people don't remember when the ghost revived the guardian he was alone 😎 It sometimes feels more nostalgic in a scifi way when a guardian is playing solo There are things to do as a team (I get that) But they shouldn't change the coffee and expect nobody to notice

9 通の返信For pvp i think freelance is important, For the rest of the game it’s not “you play how you want I’ll do Me” it’s Play how the devs want… Google what mmo stands for please

1 返信Agreed I’m almost never playing solo but the few times I do or like you said don’t want to talk it was sure nice to slap that mod and see a noticeable difference in damage output can’t really see why this would be a bad thing in anyway 👍

42 通の返信Duck |x|により編集済み: 4/7/2023 8:25:00 AMWhy should you get a free buff for being alone? It's that simple. Teamplay, regardless of how annoying it is; is and always should be the best way to play games in terms of skill expression and communication skills. Edit: Yall need some friends, be glad that they're pushing you towards this, social interaction is really freaking important. Double Edit: you literally don't need to talk to a singel person for Root of Nightmares, half of every Root LFG is covered with "no comms" runs.

8 通の返信Agreed.. if the enemies scale up when you're in a team, you should scale up, with the mod, when you're alone

Obi-Juanにより編集済み: 4/8/2023 12:53:19 AMI'm a solo player and I literally never plug my mic in unless it's a raid. I've gilded conqueror multiple times, done the most challenging content besides raids without a single microphone. I'm genuinely confused why you're acting like you can't wind down. You don't need to care about communication unless it's a raid. Legend Avalon is intended to be challenging. The most communication I did was type a few pieces of advice to the other guy (it's pointless to do anything but a duo due to solo causing every enemies aggro to be on you and scaling difficulty per increased fireteam member) in my duo and we got it done. Did that 3 times. Normal Avalon was an absolute cakewalk with witherhoard so I doubt that's what you were referring to. Legend was the challenge. As intended

3 通の返信solo players in Destiny are like those people who are alone in their cars and still wear a mask - or even better...those who play checkers/chess by themselves. Destiny is not solitaire, it is a community based game. Sure, you can play limited aspects of the game solo, but what's the point? It's like paying a premium for a house, but only utilizing part of it.
