It's been clear to most that PvP is dead, dying or just plain meh .
I won't get into my spin foil theory, but maybe .
It's time to let old things die

It would make design and balance much easier if they split pvp off into its own thing. It's become clear that "Fun" is not an intended experience in this game but it means they can focus on the pve experience. There are things they currently just cannot do in pve because if it was used in PVP iit would completely break the game. They still would be careful to avoid anyone enjoying the game but it would make their design choices a lot easier.

15 通の返信PVP is a problem because cheaters are ruining the gaming experience for everyone and they system put in place to stop it really does not address the overall problems. Hacks today are virtually undetectable, not like the past where they were obvious. Common signs of a cheater is a completely new account wrecking you with weapons that normally are terrible. In those cases it’s a person who was banned and is a known hacker with a new account. Also another sign is someone who has everything set to private and can not be messaged, also a hacker either on a stolen account or to hide their identity. Also players with random generated names full of random numbers. If a person wrecks you, look at their profile, if they have a high trophies score or plenty of games on their account, it’s a good chance they are just a very skilled player. The last obvious sign is a person who freezes in the middle of the game, then is the top player. You will notice that as soon as you report them, you find yourself lagged off the game. The biggest problem is that reporters are never notified if their report was accurate or a mistake. There needs to be a notification system in place to let people know if there reports are accurate or not.

I've said this for years since destiny 1, separate pvp and pve guns stats etc. Imagine you hover over the highlighted weapon, by default you see the guns stats and perks now you press a toggle and hold button and it changes to a secondary stat page for pvp. It's a real basic concept that I'm sure could be improved on or maybe another game studio has implemented for a good example to follow

4 通の返信Nothing, not a single bean mentioned about PvP in the recent twab. Disappointing. I’m staying out of this game for now; no new maps; no investment by Bungie in PvP only tinkering and not the best tinkering at that; take rift for example in comp. Bungie had a massive opportunity to embrace PvP with the release of Lightfall but as usual; PvP was and is neglected. As Gordon Ramsey would say; “Shame” amongst other things lol.

1 返信Just play void hunter. This game is like mario kart 8, you have to use the same combo as everyone else if you want to compete. Use all the crutches. Sell your soul to the meta. Sell your individuality because bungie sure as hell aren't going to do anything about it. Pvp has been bad since launch.

1 返信Kildozer666により編集済み: 4/6/2023 8:28:57 PMI don't think this user actually plays the game. The current population is though the roof, guy. What the heck are you talking about? PvP feels fantastic RN. Maybe a little tuning to matchmaking could be suggested, But I usually don't play PvP & I'm loving Comp & Trials RN.

1 返信Or you just don't play. That kills it from your perspective plus you're not quitting on people.

7 通の返信My opinion is sunset Gambit. Then revamp PvP into what it was supposed to be; a very secondary mode. Allow the player to select blue weapons with set perks. You want a hand cannon? You can choose one and it will be the same for anyone else that chooses a hand cannon. Same for SMG, scout rifle, pulse rifle, etc. Keep supers and subclasses the same. Keep a static sandbox and focus on any changes to PvE only.

The sandbox/PvP team and their management are unable to fix the issues we complain about. They have had years to create a more healthy mode but have proven they can’t. I think some of these guys might want to consider a career change, something less technical.

16 通の返信The Good * As time passes, there are fewer and fewer outliers in the sandbox * FBMM and SBMM make games feel competitive for everyone. * New game modes to enjoy The Bad * Not enough new maps (though more have been added recently) * Sandbox balance changes usually take a few weeks to implement * Not enough rewards (though Trials rewards have improved) I will also mention that I HATE Power Level Advantages in Trials.

They need to focus an entire season on reworking their existing game modes. Because gambit and crucible are effectively on life support following years of neglect. I’d rather those core activities which have been in the game for years get love over adding a new activity that’s going to get deleted in a year.
