Damn near paying the price of a new game for this is kinda.. sorta… VERY greedy. One might try n argue inflation or whatever but this amount of content for the price tag Ain adding up. Reskined guns, pretty uninspiring campaign and characters, but I digress. Came on the forum to laugh at some of these posts. Back to not touching this dumpster fire of a game lol. Y’all stay safe tho 🫡

2 通の返信You can't use inflation as an excuse because they never charged for dungeons now they do. Next expansion will be 60 dollars and the annual will be 120. The price keeps going up but they make a ton on evrerverse. We get less too. We use to get multiple strikes and crucible maps and a gambit maps. They get 20 dollars more for dungeons. They get a extra ten for lightfall when witch queen was 40 and deluxe was only 80 not 100.

Same old format every time. DLC drops, it's overpriced cheap Gak Once u finish the new campaign material, it's back to grinding the same old boring crap They boost Gambit in the hope people will enjoy it again And we rinse and repeat with everyone throwing money at the screen, in the mistaken belief somethings going to be different this time This game died a long time ago, but the electrical signal hasn't reached the brain yet to let it know Reality is, we all love this game and are clinging on to it like your first girlfriend, who's about to dump you Bungie know this exploit this, and monetize it Shame cos we had something special here, all it took was for bungie to listen to "Some" of its player base

5 通の返信All guns are reskins. Campaign is the same quality as always. Characters are also pretty much written the same. Spend your money better, stop throwing money at trailers.

As long as destiny has been around that’s all they’ve ever done is do a good job of advertising very well and putting out content that’s half assed of what they advertised, I mean hey what’s their record on narration and story telling since forsaken?
-
2 通の返信And ppl crapped on my post assuming the Campaign Boost was going to be $20 a character ($40 total) I was right..

2 通の返信I mean the entitled zoomer devs gotta get their 6 figure salary somehow while "working" from home doing literally nothing. What a world we live in.

4 通の返信Next DLC, just buy borderlands 3. It has a ridiculous amount of content, much more than any D2 dlc and is cheaper even without a sale.

6 通の返信I see they are making a DLC expansion for both Horizon and Elden ring. It looks like both will have as much development time as an annual destiny 2 expansion. It will be interesting to see how much content they both have included. I believe both will be cheaper than a destiny 2 annual expansion and I`m willing to bet that both contain a lot more content This simple rhetoric will denote if we are getting good value for money or not. it`s up to people to vote with their wallets however. I`m not saying for example that I wont buy next years expansion now, but i certainly won`t be pre-ordering. I`ll wait till it`s been out a few weeks to judge the reviews and content levels. If it`s similar to lightfall then i won`t be purchasing. If everyone done that and voted with their wallet then i`m sure we`d see changes. Shadowkeep was a one off in terms of re-using a destiny 1 locale as a basis as it sold poorly. They then changed their approach. That`s how it must be in the future. If people keep buying whatever dross they put out then they will have absolutely no incentive to improve it and treat their customer base with respect. Their shareholders, now sony it seems, will simply say give less for more and we`ll keep the extra profits thank you very much.

I get more quality content from Warframe for fûck sake.

8 通の返信Id rather play Hogwarts Legacy three more times than this if this is the kinda effort we can expect from Bungie.

1 返信I've been disappointed with releases in the past, but this time, I actually feel duped. I can't believe I paid $100 for this garbage. Charging full price for this expansion is unconscionable on Bungie's part.
-
I cancelled my preorder and then my buddy was like oh it's good you have to get it or at least try the game out and new systems. I did smh and I regret it but luckily I didn't spend the full 100 like some other people did.
-
I don't particularly like talking negative about Destiny, but this expansion just feels awful. I don't even have the urge to get on and play and finish the campaign, any other expansion I would have had it finished by now. Waste of money, and I actually spent $200 because I bought the expansion for my friend too.
-
They're not even trying to hide it anymore. Just so many reskins and reused things in game now. I understand all games do this, but not to the extent that Bungie has taken it to. Not to mention artificially inflating the enemy damage just to drag out play time. They have truly fallen off. Time to find new direction with this game because this leadership team isn't cutting it. All about MONEY. 100%.

12 通の返信I see this a lot generally, so unsurprisingly I'm seeing this more now. But here's the deal, generally: You can put the prices up like this if you know people's hour counts are going to be higher than one-and-done games. If you play more, it's bang for your buck. So if there's no bang, then don't buy. That's tangential though so I digress. Lightfall is controversial, but the chances are still pretty high that people who (truly) like the game-- but have complaints about LF --will still have more hours played than many one-and-done games in the first two weeks. It's a good deal if you like it enough. And it's our responsibility if our expectations were too lofty.
