15 通の返信I didn't get the expansion yet. It can't be THAT bad, can it? Should I just keep playing ESO?

3 通の返信Quite a few people are saying "this is why you should never preorder" and sure, this generally applies. The problem is Destiny 2 is a grindy AF, social game, so people want to preorder to play on day 1, with everyone else and not fall behind on progress/miss out on content. Bungie know exactly what they're doing when it comes to things like drop rates and content repetition. PS. I quit Destiny 2 three months ago because I eventually had enough of Bungie and their shenanigans.

I think it was not good that despite being a DLC with major movement in the story of light and dark, there were no elements that would shock the user to the level of a megaton punch to the face, and the story ended without a wave. The story was indeed deep, but it was not explained well enough, and there seemed to be a lot of unimportant length in the training and other aspects of the story. To be honest, I think it's unfortunate but true that the first movie was the most exciting and that's where most of the story that was advertised ended. It is very disappointing that there was a sense of conceit that the rest of the season would be enough to recapitulate the story. I wish they would have remembered that Witch Queen was highly regarded as DLC because it provided the necessary stories and experiences.

ErkDavilosにより編集済み: 3/4/2023 6:21:25 PMLightfall was $50, the other $50 is everything after this season. That being said, it’s still a poor offering from a AAA gaming company. Though there is a bunch where they missed the mark, it’s mainly the bugs on Console for me. A complete overhaul of the game file and yet so many bugs like mods not procing because of all the overlayed buffs and cooldowns and especially the crashes when too many visual effects are created. It’s as if they didn’t even test the games stability outside of their top end in-house pcs and servers.

3 通の返信The campaign felt way more focused on Strand than Calus, the Witness, and the Veil was literally never even given time for us to know what it was or why the Witness was after it, not to mention that Calus had less screen time than Savathun in the campaign with just a few cutscenes before we actually fight him and he mostly just talks to his army rather than taunting us. He's more of a roadblock than the final boss of the DLC. Difficulty-wise the legend campaign is rather comparable to WQ, the final boss fight wasn't that hard if you kept your distance, but the many adds in the room were the more prominent threat as you could easily be launched off of the platform into the abyss by one of the many incendiors in the room. Strand at least got way more used in the campaign but I would've preferred if we got the subclass unlocked before the final mission since that was the main issue with Beyond Light campaign (outside of Eramis literally being introduced as if she was Taniks and we should all know her and her goals) and Bungie said we would be learning about it as the campaign progressed. Most of the learning was done off-screen by Osiris and then relayed to us in bouts of anger and disappointment as we get closer to the end of the campaign. By the end it didn't even feel like we learned anything about the subclass or even earned it since we got a terrible excuse for us to be able to use it without the Exhaustion debuff. Bungie I would've rather it not been part of the main campaign to learn about Strand when we had so much more to focus on that had bigger story implications. What happened to having parallel quests in games where you could progress the main story and then get a side quest and have the main story wait for us to catch up to certain points for continuing? It's not a bad thing to require a second quest completion for a main quest progression. Having the story get muddied with losing focus on other things that don't have to do with the actual plot is worse. Let's get on another point, Strand itself doesn't even feel that great to use. I have gotten to the point where I have strand permanently unlocked and have as many fragments on my Hunter as I can unlock at the moment, and the subclass feels like it is just missing something. Either you give up a grenade and have the grapplehook or you give up the grapplehook (which is what they mainly focused on in their reveals) for a more grounded experience in a subclass that focuses on Airborne gameplay with a ton of AE buffs and even an aspect that was mostly meant to be used with the grapplehook as it doesn't buff any other grenade other than an extra charge. The super is alright but feels like it could've used a built-in slam ability to quickly ground yourself in combat if you don't like the air dive using both super energy and your class ability. The melee is kinda confusing since it seems like the ability refund from catching the dart isn't very consistent. Sometimes I catch it and I get near full charge, sometimes I catch it and it doesn't refund any ability energy at all.

16 通の返信It really is entirely too early to write Lightfall off as a flop expansion…it hasn’t even been a week. There truly is ALOT of story left to explore before TFS. You lot complain about lackluster seasons, so Bungie structures it to make the seasons more engaging, and you still complain?

4 通の返信I see a lot of praise for Neptune. I hate this empty city and it's ark'd populace.

1 返信Being a Veteran of D1 like a majority of the Community, they could've give us all a better rank than Veteran 6. I got better VA Benefits than this.

1 返信My main complaint is that it started off all dark and awesome like the fate of the world was actually at hand… only for things to quickly get quippy and quirky and lighthearted with some out of place surfer bro attitude npc that stole the show in a bad way. The freaking Witness is out there floating around in space slicing people up with his mind, but down here on Neptune we got what’s his face “dude let’s go bam bam bam some bad guys bro keewl yeah that was rad dude!”. Maybe if this had been a different dlc it would have been more acceptable but this is freaking Lightfall. We are almost at the end of the Light and Dark saga. I was expecting something crazy and brutal and epic…not Jar Jar’s Great Adventure. Everything with Mara, Calus and the Witness was awesome, its an absolute shame than we didn’t have 10x more of that instead.

I'm extremely glad I didn't pay for the deluxe edition. Still not sure why this expansion cost the same price as a full game. Not worth it at all. I finished the campaign now I'm just grinding the same old boring crap I've been playing for years.

3 通の返信My main complaints with this game are as follows. They lean too far into the grind. No one wants to play an activity 900 times for progress. These shield, barrier and overload champions really killed the end game. It dosent make it hard it just makes me use weapons I don't want to and that's horrible design. You are catering to people playing your game. There is a level where you can dictate but this has always been overbearing. However with these in place I'd mostly just play the campaign and then pop in for a season or two and that was fine. Would like to play all seasons but they are so grindy and that was my choice. Lightfall however is an embarrassment at best this has been the worst story (or lack of story) that they have told in the entire destiny franchise. I get covering subjects but this didn't even end on a cliffhanger. And they say it's going to be spread out during the seasons? I bought the annual pass anyway but that is really predatory sales practices. It would have been better of you just asked for $100 upfront for lightfall but they know that no one was going to pay that for the campaign. Kind of sad, I hope the final shape is better if not, that may be the end of destiny for me. Always wanted to complete the story. If they don't, then I am not sure I'd want to start a new adventure after this concludes.

Hate everything about it. If I knew it was going to be like this wouldnt have bought it felt like it was a bait and switch. The mod system is bad I can understand wanting to make it harder but this more feels like nerfing everything and kicking you while you are down and ontop of it not letting you back up with respawn turnt off. Just sad really.
