Destiny is trying to be the one stop shop for everyone. I’m not opposed to that, I don’t mind a one stop shop. Problem is, it’s trying to be everything, but it’s just kind of a mediocre version of…..everything.
PvP is a watered down Halo where you can only play team deathmatch.
Strikes are watered down Halo missions.
Raids are okay, I’ll give you that.
Campaigns are short and watered down versions of every campaign in every game.
Patrols are a watered down open world experience with nothing to do.
Weapon crafting is a watered down version of….weapon crafting.
Gambit is hilarious. It’s like you took a few watered down things, mashed them together and made a bowl of watered down mashed potatoes. However, I commend you for trying something new - more of that please.
Bungie, everything in this game is watered down and everything has gotten to the point of being bland. You’re being bland so you don’t lean in one direction and lose the casual players, but the casual players won’t even stick around. It’s like you’re afraid to try anything outside the bland box as to avoid losing people. Please get out of the bland stuff, it’s so boring.

It isn't one of the oldest game genres alive so clearly D2 PvP is just halo even though they share zero similarities other than being FPS.
Strikes are watered down Halo missions.
Linear narrative driven missions with mechanics? Halo. No other game has ever done that. Missions in other games are just point and click shooters! The idea of having content in a mission that drives you forward is exclusive to halo.
Campaigns are short and watered down versions of every campaign in every game.
Exactly! The campaigns are just like every other video game campaign! There's a story being told, missions, and things to do in the missions! It's so watered down compared to other games campaigns which have a story being told, missions, and things to do in the missions!
Weapon crafting is a watered down version of….weapon crafting.
Exactly!!!!! Weapon crafting is so watered down that all we can do is craft weapons and enhance their perks! It's so watered down!!!!
You have zero idea what watered down means. I guarantee you saw the phrase being used in a white boy video essay about nickelodeon flash games and latched on. Absolutely nothing you said made sense at all.
They preconditioned the community to settle for mediocrity by saying things like making content is hard and we will not overdeliver and all that bull. Then recycles everything and gives themselves a pat in the back. It’s hilarious! Hahahahahahaha! Copies other games or medium like Spiderman or Frozen, even Star Wars, and introduce them as new so they can milk you to throw money at an empty and mediocre game. Hahahahahahaha! Beyond laughable! There is nothing here. Welcome to hollowness!

I kind of agree with this and this is why I believe ‘mains’ are the most toxic players - because they are never truly fulfilled int he area of the game they play. However, destiny is more than the sum of its parts. It’s being able to play all aspects that makes the game what it is. No other game does that.
