I have noticed something through this past year it seems like every week im getting told to get this gun because it will be OP but i don't like that type of destiny i miss when you could rock what you wished and it would work.
This new blog doesn't help with that i feel (as a casual player) that a challenge is good, but when you start making everything and every activity difficult, it gets rough. When i load up Vanguard, im usually trying to test a bulid and mess around, but now it seems yall are making the casual playlist not casual.
It could be that im just not good enough, but it feels like bungie is only paying attention to the streamers and youtubers and the majority of the community like it did in forsaken. Now i will say this i have played legendary witch queen, and yes, all campaigns should get that, i believe.
I just feel like the part of community that truly just wants to be a space wizard with no limits is being shut down. I know some people want this game to be hard and challenging, but at its core, destiny is just a looter shooter, shoot em up type game, i just want that old simple times back.

Stop being so passive. You are good enough. You just aren't a 12+ hours per day playing streamer. Cause that audience is who Bungie is trying to satisfy. They don't care about their vast majority of players. They clearly only want the neckbeards to have fun being cringe "space magic wizards" who are okay with grinding GM nightfalls for perfectly rolled exotic armor for 56 hours every week to build craft to the maximum. I do not feel like i am the targeted audience anymore at all. Therefore i will not play as much anymore. Easy.

8 通の返信Us casuals don’t generate revenue. So there you have it. It’s about money at the end of the day.

3 通の返信There is easy and then there is braindead easy. And honestly I feel you man. Sometimes it's fun to mow through groups of enemies but destiny isn't that difficult unfortunately. The difficulty increase is good What I actually hoped in difficulty increase is smarter AI. Not an acolyte staring at me taking cover while I stand 1 meter next to it until I smack it. I don't want to fight valus ta'urc 20 times a room but honestly, I know smarter AI is the last thing bungie will do. Again, I feel you and some subclasses are pretty powerful depending on your style. There is a place for everyone

1 返信Well maybe the content won’t be as hard as they’re making it seem like. Everything is different on paper with this gaming studio.
-
Let me tell you right now, the game as it is now is substantially more casual than it was during year 2. Year 2 was considered the peak of the game’s content and gameplay. Rare exotics, difficult endgame, pinnacle weapons, and many of the best items in the game were hard to obtain. Pandering to casuals ruined the game, not pandering to streamers. I could go back to D1 right now and still have stuff to chase because they never dumbed the game down so everyone could catch up to the top.
bungie basically added the “no child left behind” policy to their video game
I think Bungie have exhausted the number of players they are really going to get into this franchise at this point and my guess is as they looked at the players they have left and most of them aren't that casual.
-
No, not really. D2 vanilla was made for casuals and it tanked horribly and saw a huge exodus of players. They did that in an attempt to bring in a bunch of new players... which worked, but then without anything meaningful or challenging to do everyone was leaving.
-
1 返信They’re making PvE activities more aligned with D1. I don’t why they didn’t just build upon the difficulty from the first game. Because nightfalls and master content were unforgiving.
-
6 通の返信Casuals don't float the game though. Statistically the game nearly died when it was watered down for a more casual experience (see D2 vanilla). They u-turned and have been hammering on the door of the hardcore audience since Forsaken and it works. They talked about this in their live service game presentation a few months ago.

Destiny is a game, not an invincibility simulator. What is the point in playing if you are invincible? Its why nobody plays vanguard playlists. It is too easy. A looter shooter doesnt mean free. It will still be easy, just not snooze easy

2 通の返信You guys should just start admitting you want to toggle on God mode and there to be no threat of dying.

Casuals had AN ENTIRE YEAR of massive power creep and stupidly easy content. Now, the moment they get a whiff that things are getting a bit more challenging, without even experiencing it, suddenly the sky is falling and Bungie no longer thinks of you? You all are pathetic.
-
8 通の返信Remember back in 2017 when D2 almost died because they focused way too hard on only the casual playerbase? And then Forsaken added in better systems and an actual endgame with some difficult content (at the time) which saved the game? Yea.
-
3 通の返信It’s clear who they have been catering to. Youtubers and streamers. But they fail to understand this: If people stop playing your game, they will stop watching other people who play it. I hope they enjoy their 500 active players. You gonna have to stop giving freebies and have them spend actual money on your game.
-
1 返信Clearly not, they are obviously pandering to streamers in a hope that they will get pushed up the directory

1 返信Streamers and YouTubers are the ones Bungle looks to for "player perspective". They are probably also the ones new players look to, to see how cool the game is. "Oh that looks so awesome! I wanna try that!" And then they realize that it's not as easy as these vets make it look. Bungle is making too much money off new players coming in, to care about the casual player who may or may not purchase a DLC and season(s) pass. Money talks...
