So what I read is:
"If you don't play strand, or solar/void on a weekly rotation, you do 25% less damage. Or you can not, as long as you use one of these very specific weapons. Or you can just be bad and do less damage."
WHO thought this was a good idea? -blam!- thought "hey let's just limit what classes can be effective all season. They'll love that."?
I hope the community pushes back on this, hard. I wanted to play strand because maybe it would be fun, not because I'd inherently lose 25% damage otherwise.
"Burns in high-level activities will be split into Surges and Threats.
Surges increase your outgoing damage:
Surges increase elemental damage dealt by 25%.
Surges for high-difficulty activities change every Season based around featured damage types.
Featured Surge for Season of Defiance will be Strand.
Weekly rotating Surges will be Solar and Void.
Threats increase elemental damage coming from enemies by 25%.
High-level activities now also feature Overcharged weapons.
An Overcharged weapon deals 25% more damage.
Kinetic damage is also increased by 25% if using a Surging subclass.
Overcharged weapons can come from several sources. Currently:
Weapons set per activity.
Weapons featured as Champion counters on the Seasonal Artifact.
Overcharges and Surges do not stack.
Overcharged weapons do not get extra damage if they are also Surging.
You only need one for a given damage source.
Combatants are harder to stagger, and their health has been increased across the board.
This is to compensate for Surge and Overcharge.
The effect is strongest on powerful enemies and weakest on rank-and-file."

Kinda limits you and as a player I don't like limits or told what to play , so basically you'll reach max power but never get to use Max power unless you play what they want you to play ? Sounds controlling I'll pass good luck in this expansion

4 通の返信News flash, buddy. Just because the activity says there's a singe doesn't mean you're forced to use said singe. I promise you, the police will not come for you if you use Stasis during a Solar singe week.

4 通の返信I read it. You’re not losing 25% for using arc or stasis, you’re just not getting the 25% buff to kinetic weapons. You’ll still get the +25 for using the right weapons regardless of class.
-
1 返信Bungie hired a bunch of monkeys from the zoo to think up these changes I'm sure of it
-
4 通の返信You do NORMAL damage. Void and strand and solar and the anti champion weapons do 25% more.
-
9 通の返信I actually ordered Lightfall with annual pass the other day, then I saw the latest announcement last night. I got my refund this morning.
-
1 返信You skipped the part about all the ways to achieve overcharged weapons. Also it makes sense they are trying to reduce the usage of stasis and arc, they have been massively overused the last 2 seasons.
-
3 通の返信Oh no....im going to not have a 25% dmg boost in strikes.... I cant play my favourite builds oh la la... Not like i wasnt already ignoring elemental burns anyways.
-
Buy or don't play We see you spent all that time farming all the cool Arc exotics and crafting your favourite Jolt based weapons, in the name of balance and levelling it out with the fresh content, it's easier just to remove it all from the game than put the work in. Thank you for your time and money.

Stasis was a dumb power to add, it just interferes with your own Fireteam, obstructing their line of fire and slowing combat. IMO (of course)

1 返信Grimにより編集済み: 2/23/2023 4:38:49 PMGreat they shot themselves in the foot...again, I swear you don't even need to hear the full break down of what's to come to know what their planning is beyond stupid. The devs are morons and clearly don't play their own game and have no clue what their playerbase actually wants. I would say its sad but we're long past that, now its just embarrassing. How can a dev team be so far gone that they don't even know what will p!ss off their playerbase after almost a decade of doing this? Bungie out here setting a new record for stupidest billion dollar company. You think with all that money they could do something to get a consensus of what's a good idea and whats borderline brain dead. But no, too stupid to even do that apparently.

Do what you enjoy reyardless of how long it takes to complete pve content. We are free to choose anything in game. To try to controlhow we play is nothing less than disgusting.

Tru-Zrueにより編集済み: 2/23/2023 11:50:34 PMSee people THIS is why you don’t pre order months ahead. This is why you wait until the last second to decide. I got just a little hyped today and right before Bungie dropped another bomb. They keep over complicating things for themselves and us and it’s getting old. Making us weaker and enemies stronger is insane. And not only that they keep limiting what we can use. If this isn’t for proper balancing wth are we doing bungie? They keep adding these unnecessary systems on top of already unbalanced…systems they can’t/won’t balance. Weapons, pvp and pve, supers, and rng. Already needs work. None of us wants the game to die Bungie, but you seem like you do. Keep it up more players will quit permanently.
-
17 通の返信The fact that we basically cannot use stasis or arc for at least 3 months is kinda insane. It's actually ridiculous that someone thought this is the way to go 🤣
-
Forced to play their game by their rules. No longer a game of choice. Play with the weapons we want you to play with or we’ll nerf the ones that you want to play with ( already in progress). They don’t seem to understand why thousands of players have left to play other games and why the Lightfall pre order is dismally down. Keep up the good Bungie in destroying yourselves. Time to move on.
-
3 通の返信Talk about going from a Elemental Singe and Buff which was clear cut and simple... To whatever the hell this wall of complicated text is. Who the heck thought of this? Use Surge Element and weapon.. but you can't use that same weapon if it's an over charge... Don't bother with Arc or Stasis at All for the entire season because, well, just because.
-
My main is always synthoceps - knockout titan. İn nightfalls and gambit. Now bungie made void shieldbash more powerful than my build for 3 months!!?? This is not my way! Whos this way bungie? Because i dont asked you for this ?
-
I literally use mostly arc in end game pve. I’m ok with using solar/void/strand but forcing me to use them is straight up pathetic. Let’s get this clear, we want better loot, bungo says they hear are cries and then changes it from loot to difficulty? What is in there head right now besides crayons and possibly wondering how to break Telesto again, I mean seriously, a stasis glaive is cool but why is it heavy?
-
1 返信It's an improvement on the current system we have now. If I run a nightfall this week it's solar burn. So by your logic the only subclass worth running is solar. But guess what, you can still run any subclass and it still works. With the new system it will be solar and void for season 20. Some people love drama and acting like they are a victim somehow. Untwist your knickers.
