D1 vet, been flawless a whopping 0 times. I don’t play trials much and am an average player.
Only playing solo in freelance.
Kind of goes without saying, but the toxic attitude does not help anything . Generally speaking, team mates in chat talking trash, or shooting a teammate, doesn’t accomplish anything.
The matches on bottom of card are straight -blam!- show! 0-4 while I was .5 is not uncommon . Absolutely mind blowing how lopsided things are.
Then the middle, top of card was completely opposite. Decent matches, good plays and all around enjoyable. It’s a complete different experience.
I don’t know the how/why it can be so different (cough) * card resetting * / farming, but something isn’t right or working with that kind of experience.
Just some thoughts.

1 返信Coalにより編集済み: 2/22/2023 6:12:02 PMYou’ll face harder matches at the beginning and end of the card because those are where more competitive teams are (either 1-2 win resetting for elo farming, or adept weapon farming on the last game.) However, the “toxicity” will never go away. Best just to ignore when someone shoots your body or bags you. And IF a teammate is the one doing that to you, chances are you’re throwing and you should change whatever you’re doing. The more you play it the better you’ll get. Don’t expect to get flawless until you’ve become skilled enough to earn it. This isn’t competitive where you’ll face people of equal skill (or lack of), and it’s like that by design. Because if you went flawless because you’re facing .5s and lower, that pretty much means that me facing fellow 2.0+ means nothing and all my work and practice means nothing.

1 返信The pvp game market outside of destiny is so good that it's not really a discussion anymore. D2 has some amazing gun play but the player base, matchmaking etc isn't polished yet even after so many years. If you really have time for pvp, even at your skill level, I would say other games are far more enjoyable than this.

1 返信Don't understand this. "I don't play PvP. And being bottom of the board with a. 5 is common." When you step into endgame pvp, against people who actually play it, yeah. That's gonna happen. "I don't play raids, and I keep failing mechanics. It's not fun to wipe bungie!"

1 返信I’m a PVE main but like- I’m not sure what you were expecting? This is end game PVP. What exactly were your expectations here?

12 通の返信Vijilにより編集済み: 2/20/2023 1:39:52 AMRaids as a non PvEer are just so toxic. Everyone always talking -blam!- because I'm using a PVP load out in DSC... Like how am I supposed to compete with things that dont die in less than a second? See how stupid that sounds. Edit: I see from the replies that the PvE community doesn't disappoint. They are at the very least consistently stupid.

It's 90% the connection. I play only FPS for 20 years almost every day and the only reason I don't play Trials and Comp is the inconisistency: The one match I see the enemy on time and my bullets actually do damage...... .......and the next match i'm dead at the moment I see the enemy appear. Apparently, they were already shooting at me on their screens. I really don't mind being outplayed, but I do mind wasting my time in a match, where the game won't let me. I think it's a combination of 2008 engine, peer-to-peer and other things.

1 返信Tbh, I shoot teammates that constantly go the same angle and get wrecked over and over. We aren’t on comms, so shooting you let’s you know “hey bro, step your game up, or we are going to lose”. With that said, I’ll only shoot u two or three times in the beginning of round 3-4 depending on the situation. And honestly, I’ve been shot before too, and I say to myself “yea bro ur right, bad play on my part, I’m gonna step up” I view it as team feedback, not simply being toxic

Morakxにより編集済み: 2/21/2023 7:20:11 AMTrials will never be enjoyable without permanent freelance. Current trials matchmaking just uses us solo players as cannon fodder and easy matchups for carry streamers and service recov/carry sweats. And the fact that they want to get rid of freelance for all playlists and also the flawless pool makes me think we will get "fireteam based matchmaking" for trials aswell which will change nothing. In "competitive" playlists, permanent freelance is necessary. Otherwise us solos will always have a terrible time.

1 返信Witch Queen vet here... I agree. In the 4 hours of Trials I have played I find the mode makes me sick to the pit of my stomach.

8 通の返信Could be because the bottom of the cards are full of really bad players who aren't as good as they think they are (dunning-kruger effect), and project their inability to win on to their teammates.

Bungie is unlikely to do anything about card resetting even though it is an exploit they have proven on multiple occasions they don't care if people cheat or exploit the game. The only thing I can say to you as a non paper is get good or don't play pvp those are really you only options sorry but it the truth.

3 通の返信people that play with flawed cards in upper wins are the reason i dislike people about ready to go flawless then i get this guy who cant tell what a mod is.

2 通の返信Being a non pvp player I am genuinely curious as to what you expected to come from you going into trials…? You also play solo, you have no one to help make decisions or good plays. And even if someone is card resetting you’re in freelance!! Practically a flawless handout lol

4 通の返信Card reset should not be allowed. But then again, no insensitive to play once you got all your loot from trial. Friend of mine sent me a trial report of someone (can't post name here) who at this time is 188-2 this weekend, 3.9 k/d, 4.72 k/da. Those are the kind of people who ruins trial for the others, but then again, you can't go flawless expecting to face only bots.

So I tried trials when freelance first came out, on a different account. I'm 1.7 across all games but I'm around 1.2 in destiny, I don't use HC/shotgun or whatever the meta is, I do whatever the bounties tell me to. Anyway, I did it on double xp week to grind a few guns & I think I lost 19 of 20 games, my teams where all inexperienced or poor players using things like sweet business & blue shotguns, I was topping lobbies & I'm not very good, even at 0.33 I was top. Most games ended 0-5, we played numerous teams of 3 unbroken or flawless, it was demoralising. Someone showed me a website that showed teams win % & most games my opponents win chance was 95% or higher. Quickplay was very similar, my win % was like 4% and my teams consistently had very low win chances. I've never, and will never, play PvP again outside of mayhem & I only do mayhem for catalysts

For me, personally I don’t have much of a drive to get to flawless as others, if it’s down to personally or motivation but it just doesn’t seem worth it from my stand point, don’t get me wrong my own clan has said I have some amazing skills in pvp and most of them have been flawless, but it’s never been my thing So my take, do it if you really want to and get a full fireteams, cause solo you will run into players who will mostly throw to get rank, I don’t blame them since I will probably be doing the same thing, not to ruin a match for my team (cause I will try if we can win) but if we can’t I will just throw sadly

7 通の返信Kiro - 13により編集済み: 2/20/2023 1:33:10 AMI will let you in on a secret. The non-flawless pool that is active Sunday and Monday is rife with win resetters. Even players from the clan Primal are guilty of this(not joking). Their are 3 main reasons: paid carrys, recoverys, and twitch streamers so when they advertise "trials raffle" the games are not as hard. Over all its a very predatory pool. We typically found the games were far more balanced in the flawless pool on Sunday and Monday but super sweat mode Friday and Saturday.

3 通の返信I'm one of those window shopping bots. Last week I decided to hop in the freelance trials to see how it is. My main focus was to get the pinnacles done to reach 1590. After playing over 40 matches my kd was around that 0.5 but got those pinnacles done and full trials armor and some weapons too which was nice. I was waiting for bunch of hateposts, but surprisingly got only one. The person who send the post had his flawless match ruined mostly because of me and other bot in his team. I was surprised that it was even a possibility to be put in other's flawless match. To sum up my experience. Freelance has hugely wide skill variation among players and difference in motives to play. Players aiming to the lighthouse have to endure bots like myself who's main focus is to get the pinnacles done and maybe get some random drops while we are at it. Lots of great players whose skill I can only dream of taught me about the importance of timing and movement. But for skilled players freelance bot harvesting must feel pretty dull and boring after few matches.
