Look guys, you need to just rip the band-aid off and be honest about what happened to Gambit.
Did you fire the team responsible for it?
Were they moved to other things?
Do the people you have working there today no longer understand the code of the previous team that built it? And therefore are unable to make changes?
It’s embarrassing to have had it basically left for dead since Beyond Light, followed by the complete radio silence on it.

1 返信I know this is a unpopular opinion but I think Gambit is good. We just need a few more maps

The Crucible and Gambit will get as much love as the expansions do post-release. The reality is that moving forward means generating profit, and that means moving on to new content. I personally think it's lame, but it's fairly apparent. They don't, like, have to "confess" or anything.

Joe Blackburn and Luke Smith Refuse build up Gambit, They just lying to the back of there teeth. They have Plenty of Fund to Build up Gambit, they wont do it anyway. By time D2 ended, it will be no long in Bungie hand. Sony PSN takeover entire game. They have Kill off Gambit and Drifter already nothing going to change. they should of Kill Drifter instead of rasputin

$hirtless Captain Kirkにより編集済み: 2/16/2023 7:14:01 AMWas it a complete waste of development time to begin with? Is it finally time to admit defeat even though defeat came 2 days after Gambit debuted in Forsaken? Is it time for Drifter get blown into chunky meat hunks as an afterthought in a random cutscene like useless cannon fodder? Hive, bring a sword?

Hippoにより編集済み: 2/16/2023 3:48:12 AMYes they need to rip the band aid off and remove gambit, give the drifter a new job. There was a post not long ago that if came true would be loved by the community, it basically broke down to a Division Dark Zone / Tarkov style mode, basically have 2 large free roam areas with patrols, public events, high value targets, world bosses etc, they drop normal loot and a new type of token, your patrol space can be invaded by other players from the other and visa versa but balanced out, you can take the loot but not the tokens so if you kill a player, they lose everything collected, tokens and loot, when you successfully extract the tokens are added to a pool and the loot goes to your postmaster or other type of collection box, the zone with most at the end of the week get big rewards. Similar to how gaurdian games works but instead of class related you choose your zone for the week. Meaning you cant switch sides when you feel your side is losing. Im not much of a pvp or gambit player but i would definitely play something like this. They could even add lore to it so one side is guardians the other are dredgen.

2 通の返信Cal O'Mariにより編集済み: 2/15/2023 11:24:02 PMI would be ok with a complete removal of Gambit. I don't know if that's the popular, general consensus between players, but that mode has always been the worst gaming experience. Invaders ruin it for me. It just draaaags the game on unnecessarily, and its excruciating. If the health return were capped, or they could only kill each team member once, maybe that would help, but personally I think the invasion mechanic is the big tumor that sucked the life out of it. Competing against another team is intense enough, then add all the tanky enemies of Gambit, collecting (and not losing) motes, then they add an invasion mechanic on all of that and its just gaming Hell. They don't know when to stop at Bungie and always have to stack a million heavy things on top of each other, overcomplicate everything, then wonder why the thing isn't stable or enjoyable. Its just too overly involved is my big problem, but I'd like valid explanations too, you're not alone in that thought process.

5 通の返信I'm not much of a gambit player but what a -blam!- show not even mentioning it in the article. Offensive for the gambit community.

11 通の返信The PvPvE craze has died off, the game that started it has died off(The Division) I know some people love Gambit, but it just doesn't have a place anymore If they want to cut the game size down to improve performance, they should consider cutting Gambit, and giving Germain a new purpose (in Warden Of Nothing he pretty much claimed the prison of elders, mabe a new COE horde mode with taken weapons and armor) I go back to D1 during the D2 down times like now, and it's refreshing not to see Gambit anywhere(and more realistic textures)

The interns were so afraid of the gaming industry after gambit, that they all went back to college for a new degree. Ahhh, I'm just kidding. Gambit isn't that bad. Except for invasions, the primeval fight, the maps...
