That makes no sense, it would be used by every single guardian so why even bother? These powerful seasonal mods are fun but I see why they get retired.
Honestly I’d be fine if it was still an artifact mod, or whatever we will be doing that is similar in Light Fall, but that’s it is a permanent fixture. Meaning it’s going to be there every season to be unlocked.
I like it both as an option and something to be earned by getting to a certain point in the season.
Some people don't need it in order to solo harder content like Dungeons and Raids etc.
Congrats to them they are 'oober' players with more skills than bills and they can keep the rest in the bank (nice!)
There are many other players though that this mod is genuinely helping to get them their first solo / flawless runs on things (myself included) and yes it will be sorely missed when it's gone. How much we'll really miss it after a while though, when [i]not[/i] having it is back to feeling 'normal' ... time will tell.
I do think that there is space for something that gives solo players a boost for content that typically 'requires' a fireteam of at least 3 (i.e. dungeons / raids / GM Nightfalls and maybe 'Master' content) ... but lets be honest about what it is, it's a leg up. It's saying - "Oh you're running this solo? Well aren't you being big and brave, let us help you out!" - Is it a guaranteed win though? No it's not, and a lot of harder content still requires learning and skill and patience to complete ... it is not a free pass. Yes it helps, but it is not an auto carry and I would still have more respect for people who solo'd content with this mod than those who LFG (specifically those who pay for) Raid carries just to say they've done [i]Raid-X[/i].
(That said there's a fair chance the only way I'll ever get through a Raid is with some kind of carry ... even if it's just from very kind, helpful and patient LFGers and friends all willing to "help a guy out")
Seems like a reason to make the game easier for no real reason no, especially when we are stronger than ever right now.
Takes away from the prestige of solo flawless dungeons slightly, though i agree the boss damage requirements in the last two are excessive for solo.
Seasonal mods by definition are "seasonal" meaning you get them for a season not forever.
This game is slowly becoming a walking simulator and it makes me sad.
