See soooo many salty posts .
Video games are a hobby, not a life.
Take a break , enjoy the day.

It's sad this needs explained to you "oryk". Most people on here DO have a life, that's why they are upset about the constant problems with API, server issues, explainable lag and long time bugs. It's baffling this needs to be even said. This is a paid service and so many people would lose their job if their productivity was this bad. The incompetence is out of control. People work all day, they have kids, they make dinner, they come home and they want to wind down maybe after putting their kids to bed and enjoy their "paid service". Their is countless bugs in game, API has been a total mess the last 2 to 3 months, explainable lag in areas with low player count and the rampant server issues. What's really appalling is that this needs explained to you. Bungie has almost 1,000 employees and as everyone knows just sold to Sony for billions. There is no excuse for the incompetence. You are the problem.

2 通の返信True that! I take breaks often through the season, for at least a few days at a time. When I finish season pass, that's the official declaration of "Chill out on Destiny 2 for awhile" and I don't stress about anything after, just go with the flow. This season has me going harder though, I did enjoy aloooot more of what was put out than usual. Its actually been a solid season.

2 通の返信Maybe to some they enjoy their day with the game Maybe they have -blam!- family and life and way to escape. Just saying the "go out and smell the roses" is bs to some people

A lot of people refuse to and then blame Bungie when they burn out because they played destiny and only destiny. It’s okay to, particularly at the end of a season, play something else. Personally use this time to play single player games myself. Currently bouncing between Path of Titans and Monster Hunter Rise.

2 通の返信The fact I’m seeing people at season level 800+ shows some major addiction. I feel I’ve played way too much and I’m just under 300

15 通の返信
See soooo many salty posts . Video games are a hobby, not a life
Not while F.O.M.O. is being shoved in the players face. I have never had this^ problem, but a lot of players do feel they have to have whatever when in reality there isn't a damn thing in this game, or any game for that matter that anyone "needs to have". It's an issue that a lot of players have, but refuse to get any help with it knowing there are multiple ways that there are no excuses anymore in life to not get help. As far as the negativity, that is with any gaming forum, just some more than others and all that depends on how a business treats its player base/game.

I take breaks. This season is the least I've played since I missed half of Forsaken due to the travesty that was Red War. I doubt I'll even reach rank 50 on the season pass and completing the seasonal story is just a chore I don't think I'll make time for. Currently, I have 0 plans to purchase Lightfall. There are just tons of better quality games (hobbies) out there now. Playing 10 hours a day or taking weeks/months long breaks still doesn't excuse poor product development. I like many others who have used Destiny as a hobby and a break from life are just disappointed by what the product has morphed into. I mean for god's sake, they can't even seem to go a full season anymore without locking us away from certain weapons because they break the game or error codes plague the broader community and they have to enact emergency maintenance. That's just the tip of the iceberg for the game's technical issues. And there's far more gameplay design issues that Bungie really does need to address rather than the next chunk of FOMO timegated, temporary chunk of content that gets removed when the next expansion releases. Part of enjoying a hobby product is understanding when the hobby needs genuine TLC. Doesn't make you salty. Though I would suppose you and I have two different understandings of the term "salty."

28 通の返信
See soooo many salty posts . Video games are a hobby, not a life. Take a break , enjoy the day.
And alot of people play games to take a break from life, so expecting a product they purchase to be enjoyable is expected. Alot of people have stressful jobs or lives or families, and games are a break. Maybe for you its a hobby but Destiny 2 isn’t a hobby like Final Fantasy 14 isn’t a hobby. It’s something people play to dedicate time to and enjoy and think about other things. Your post is extremely ignorant to how millions of people live, you may have a good life, congratulations on that millions of people wish they have that. But this is their escape, games are their escape, and if someone is playing Destiny 2 and is always being tricked by empty promises they can be upset. Like now, Bungie knows what they are doing they are implementing a change that players asked for, for over a year now because its before a large DLC and want more players to think the game is going in a “right” direction but will return to their normal standards after the DLC comes out. Hell it took a special interview for them to say “yea you will need to install multiple of these mods to achieve a fraction of what font of might currently gives” People are allowed to be upset at Bungie, using your good life and pushing your feelings onto others is messed up

Sorry, I didn’t know that complaining about issues with the game that don’t get fixed because Bungie has blatantly shown that they only care about manipulating people out of as much money as possible and shoveling political propaganda is just “being salty”. I guess us players that actually care about the game and want it improved are “making it a job”, while the lowest common denominator of people content with pissing away there money and celebrating whenever Bungie dignifies us with producing half baked “content” they figured out a way to market with as little effort as possible are “making it a hobby”. It’s this apathetic, flippant mentality that has contributed to the degradation of the gaming industry. No one is arguing that it’s a job, everyone is upset because Bungie doesn’t care and is trying to milk the Destiny playerbase for every single penny. You know why they get away with it? Because of players who are either unaware of Bungie’s insatiable greed or don’t care because “it’s just a game lol”. Fallout 76 isn’t bad, it’s just a game so just get over it! Lead in the water isn’t bad, it’s just a metal so get over it! See how fundamentally flawed and devoid of thought that mentality is?

2 通の返信I walked away right after Witch Queen came out. The legendary campaign made want to never play D2 again. I play just enough to level up the season pass, and then I go back to Fallout 76. I can't do it anymore. The seasonal model has turned the game into a job. I haven't even done the Witch Queen raid, because I don't care anymore. Anything that's fun in this game eventually gets ruined. So, it's not worth playing.
