Priorities are messed up. Was it probably a bug? Sure. Was it game breaking and needed to be fixed before everything else? No.

YF Eclipseにより編集済み: 1/22/2023 5:20:47 AMRead at your own discretion, because this is a rant: I'm mostly annoyed because the day before it got nerfed I had just finished grinding out my volatile build with gyrfalcon's and retrofit. Only to find out my time has been entirely wasted because bungie thinks killing=fixing. Lightning nades on Titan with HoIL had a full season in the spotlight and while it may not have been as game breaking, they still feel viable after their changes. The only downside I see to warlocks running Starfire is that they are in desperate need of an ornament. While hunters get something useful, only for it to eventually be nerfed into the ground rather than making the effort to balance it or fixing some of the other more prominent issues in the game. I.e. having to restart the seraph mission, the crouch bug in the seraph mission, not teleporting to the final loot chest after duality final boss, etc. Is volatile causing problems anymore? No...because barely anybody want to use it anymore as it was already the weakest among things like jolt and scorch/ignite.
Priorities are messed up. Was it probably a bug? Sure. Was it game breaking and needed to be fixed before everything else? No.
Its just like the acknowledged exotic bugs and then change their story, change the perk description, and say, this is how it was supposed to work after the community notices the rewording I would like them to just stop lying and stop the "weekend" bs. If you have a live service game, you need to have folks available 24/7, not when you get back in over the weekend

BoomerSooner51により編集済み: 1/21/2023 4:17:35 AMRemember way back in D1 when Husk of the Pit wasn't dropping? Players reported the bug and for months Bungo would just gaslight the community, telling us that everything was fine and it was just bad luck. For...months...Bungo did nothing but gaslight the community before finally admitting it was bugged and "fixed" it. Let's be honest here, these Bungo asshats aren't our friends. Their priorities revolve around slowing us down and zapping our fun. It's what they've done for years now. Edit - apparently "Remember" gets censored?

5 通の返信I just wish they had integrity and treated all bugs amongst classes equally. Volatile benefitted the hunter most. Immediate nerf. Lorelei was running around how long? Citans took this long? One eyed mask took how long? Hunter makes a video of something cracking the game. Bungie on it immediately. Volatile was broken when paired with the right things. The answer was to fix how it interacted with certain classes of guns IE lmg (retrofit was OP. As a hunter main I ADMIT it.) But nerfing volatile to the ground inadvertently nerfs (again) gyrfalcons. Bc no point now. Esp in high end content. Might as well stick with Omnioculus. Meanwhile. Heart of Inmost light? Starfire? Come on bruh lol

1 返信Spicy Waterにより編集済み: 1/20/2023 10:32:44 PMWell they would’ve fixed that bug deleting peoples characters, but… uhh… there wasn’t one
-
2 通の返信Most likely it was a fast easy fix, since the same bug was already addressed with wavesplitter. Be glad they didn't disable the exotic, again =)

2 通の返信If there was a "Instakill Champions in GMs regardless of your power level" button, should it be fixed? The answer is Yes and that's exactly what they did.
-
3 通の返信If the community finds something that is fun or benefits the players, Bungie hits it with the quickness. If there is some kind of bug or feature that is annoying as hell and makes playing the game a nightmare, you bet Bungie takes their sweet time with it.

8 通の返信fun fact: they fixed volatile, but not the game breaking bug in legend seraph shield that prevents you from progressing past the captain.
-
it's been my experience that if it is something that provides players with an advantage, that issue is prioritized and often dealt with quickly (relative to everything else). But if it is something that is frustrating, inconvenient, or disadvantageous to plays it is something that is not prioritized.

2 通の返信Bugs that hinder the player are conveniently "hard" and "time consuming" to fix. Bugs that help the player or hurt the Microtransaction store are always conveniently "easy" and "quick" to fix.
-
Because they are the drug dealers of fun. They are the ones that curate all the fun and where it's at and coming from. It's why these "bugs" are stomped out near instantly or things are shut off outright for days. If we have too much fun doing something that didn't come from them on purpose we'd want more of that. It's all control and what they want us to feel. It's hamster wheel they have created and we're all the lab rats. They don't want the lab rats to realize it's better away from their structured programming

4 通の返信Anything that's OP and fun to use gets fixed ASAGDMFP, we all know that. Can't possibly have people out farming GMs with a little bit of an advantage because you know, Bungie spent so much time carefully curating their difficulty by just randomly throwing champion mobs that won't always stun properly at you.

6 通の返信No kidding. I'm amazed at how ridiculously flawed this new dungeon is, and other dungeons have suffered from many of the same issues, yet volatile gets fixed immediately.
-
2 通の返信Clearly you are new here, let me give ya the run down. If its a bug in the benefit of the player it will be disabled & or hot fixed. Its its a bug that hurts or weakens a player it will remain unfixed for months, seasons, some cases even years. While that may seem like a snide remark from a callused player base, Bungie recently admitted this in the GCD. Something along the lines of not fixing a problems for the health of the train station. I shite you not, go give it a read.

4 通の返信It was a "bug" in the sense that Bungie didn't have the foresight to add a timer in the first place, mainly because they never needed one since we didn't have a 900 RPM void machine gun with target lock. To me that sounds less like a "bug" and more like Bungie's dev team not considering how 3.0 abilities may affect the sandbox in the long term. And that isn't shocking one bit. Either way, this "fix" or "nerf" or whatever makes volatile worse all across the board. Really unnecessary.
