As to not "name and shame" (because apparently we defend cheaters here) I cant link the youtube video here, but you could find it if you really wanted to. The video showed a couple clips of a guy standing stationary, sometimes on the other side of the map, just insta killing me with Jotunn or a melee.
I talked to the cheater and he said he does it because D2 pvp is a joke and he can just easily create a new account when each "burner" account gets banned.
You have empowered these cheaters by making it so damn easy to cheat. They get to spend a great chunk of time cheating and ruining peoples' (albeit already terrible) pvp experience, before they finally get banned, making it not that big of a deal to them having to spend a few minutes creating another account.
When (if ever) do you hardware ban? That's a big step in the right direction if you do that.
I'm not even talking about the more common method of cheating whose name the Ninjas treat like Voldemort's in the forums (you know what I'm talking about).
Your anti-cheat needs serious work. It makes what is already a garbage pvp experience, even worse.
That’s why I would never play on pc and why I completely avoid games that include pc within crossplay.
Having to deal with hardware cheats on console is enough, I don’t want to see full blown hackers as well.
If you SUSPECT someone of cheating use the in game report system or the report form found on Bungie.net (not the Destiny app) to inform Bungie.
The report form has the ability to have any captured footage you have attached to it.
