Hello,
Weekend Guardian here.
I love Destiny. Ever since the D1 beta. It's been harder to play for huge amounts like the old days, hell I dont have a raid team like I used to, but I love pvp and play as much as I can when I have time.
SBMM has been the single biggest deterrent of engaging with D2 since launch. And I've been struggling with posting this and getting a bunch of "get good" comments but here it is.
I have 1 to 2 "balanced" games per competitive or Trials match per batch of 6 sometimes more matches. Not to mention my connections are all over the place. Those are matches where there is actual back and forth round wins and legitimate good games. After those sweet feelings of a fair fight with fellow Guardians, its immediately a full stomping for several games by the enemy team. To the point where I cannot tell if they are legitimate players of skill or cheating. Why is that allowed to take place? If SBMM is used to prevent this, why is it happening more than ever? And why is it that I have fewer games with Guardians I actually feel on par with? If the TWAB could clarify how it weights those encounters that would be extremely beneficial to players like me just looking to have some fun games for once. Its making players like me, not want to engage in pvp. Which for players like me who don't have a pve group or want to deal with toxic min/max raid lobbies....sadly doesn't give us a lot of places to go in D2

They stated it was supposed to be the strictest form of SBMM in the game, and I agree it is awfully unbalanced. Way to many matches are just one team completely demolishing the other, which is what SBMM was supposed to minimize. It's the same in Quickplay. The SBMM needs to be tighter, it's not working right.

4 通の返信Competitive matchmaking seems pretty good, everyone in the lobby is on the same level in my experience. I haven’t had a game were it was a complete waste of time.

2 通の返信Trials doesn't have sbmm due to it being an open tournament and comp and there is definitely fairly strict sbmm in comp but if there are no players of your level at the time of searching, it will widen the skill range it searches for.
