You can overdeliver
I wish you could overdeliver sometime like when we have a new year or when you feel like this season could be fun to had more.
I know the community is greedy but right now when every season looks the same its not has fun has it could.
I really like the game but i hope to feel the passion in your game like in forsaken. Right now i feel like every season is the same ans only the new year expansion give us what we like.

10 通の返信Less is more. That would 100 % apply to D2. Instead of giving us throwaway garbage content every single season to justify the $10 price tag every season, i would rather have zero new activities for a few seasons and them working on the core game. (Which is left behind and ripped apart by their DCV). Work on the core game would be way more worth than this unhealthy seasonal model noone can stand anymore.

1 返信Imaging as a teacher telling your students to just be average and not to overdeliver. Imaging being a parent happy your child got a C because they didn't overdeliver. What a crappy outlook on life this is to just be good enough.

9 通の返信Bungie is never going to over deliver again unfortunately. The leaked GDC presentation is a clear look into how they perceive their playerbase and their live service. Bungie employees are even getting brazen enough to say the quiet part out loud of that they don’t have to over deliver anymore because they already have your money.

It’s alright the jokes on them gotta ask yourself do you should you need to look for a job want to be known as the guy who underdelivers? I wouldn’t think coming from a company with that work mentality could translate into many job opportunities.

I get what they're trying to do, but they end up stifling creativity. They aren't innovating they're just working until their next scheduled "train" passes through. Going through the motions... The community is bored. 'Progress' (if we can even call it that) in the game is so meticulously held back [i]by design.[/i] EVERY boss has a gated life bar so we don't kill them [i]Too Fast[/i]. Our Light level is gated first and foremost by the stoopid Artifact, and then by the Frakkin RNG Pinnacle drops!!! Playing on a single character, my warlock 'main', and playing solo or matchmade content, I have NEVER managed to hit Max light from pinnacle drops! Not once since the implementation of 'seasons' model. Every currency (except silver of course), has intentionally low maximum caps to keep us grinding. Every task is grindy! It is very evident that most of Bungie's effort is focused on milking us for MORE money, rather than delivering on what we [i]already gave them![/i] 99% of drops are WORTHLESS and get immediately sharded. This is true even of frakkin exotics! Perhaps most irritating of all (in a subtle way), is the fact that the game is designed to have [i]no end.[/i] There is no point between [i]anything[/i] where players can feel 'done' with tasks enough to make logging off to do something else feel good. The grind never ends. As a result, the game feels like work, like an unending burden. The only thing keeping us around is FOMO and the "Sunk cost Fallacy". No. We are not greedy. As far as I am concerned , this new bungie has never over delivered on anything with this game . It has been an average game since the new management took control . This is just my opinion . I traded in my P.S. collection to get an original Xbox ( which I still have ) , why ? I played Halo at E.B. and I could not stop thinking about how smooth that game played . Halo is not perfect but it worked for me and most of the time it over delivered for me, that was a different bungie though . Again just my opinion not everyone's .

The state of this game really shows this attitude of doing just enough to keep people playing has been in place since Activision left. Removing paid content just to recycle it and make people buy it again has got to be one of the shadiest things I have witnessed in game development. The crazy thing to me is the amount of people that support this predatory behavior. I hope the fanboys that have defended this lazy uninspired development cycle enjoy the recycled time-gated content they paid for twice! Time to support developers that are producing fresh compelling content. So many other great games out there that are more deserving of my time and money.

6 通の返信If they over deliver once, that becomes the expectation. The next time they deliver the standard amount, that gets seen as under delivery. That is the reason you're wrong, that is the reason they can't over deliver. Conversation over.

Just don't play the game. I took 2+ years off & didn't miss it at all. Only came back because a friend wanted to play it again. Even now I can feel the pull of other games, the only thing that's currently keeping me on is because I want to do the GMs, & actually play Lightfall. If the end of this whole thing is next year then I might as well stick around to see how it ends. But yeah, play other games... I probably log on a few hours a week, sometimes more & then I end up idling in the menus just watching YouTube. Or sometimes I'll fire up GT7, or Elden ring, or Witcher 3 upgrade is out now, there's so many great games out there.

I understand the logic in the way Bungie handles content. HOWEVER, eventually they are gonna under deliver to the point they are getting flamed for it again . Perfect example: Curse of Osiris had so many players leaving that Destiny 2 was 5 weeks away from shutting down. Lucky they managed to bounced back from that catastrophe with Forsaken and other plays to win back community trust.

It’s really not even a question of content - Bungie could easily put a lot of these seasonal events together under a single playlist and randomize them like they did their strikes…ketchkrash, heist, etc - all these 3 and 6 man activities can still stay in the game - just find them a home after the season ends…

2 通の返信Bungies too greedy to over deliver! Everyone should seriously cancel there pre-order for lightfall because look at the past, bungie has always over hyped the expansion with a bad -blam!- trailer and then absolutely failed with the delivery

At this point I don't need the occasional overdeliver. I just want the basic minimum viable product that FUNCTIONS AS ADVERTISED. How many times now do we start a season with disabled exotics or artifact mods? And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Is it too much to ask that if we're going to be expected to continue paying increasing amounts of money for playing this game that we at least get something that actually gets playtested? Or at the very least that the turnaround on issues like this doesn't take half the season to fix?

Of course Bungie can over deliver but why would they? They’re making money off the seasonal model so are happy with the way the game is right now. They’ll be the 1st to tell you. You’re not. So that’s a you problem. Are you going to quit playing to show your dissatisfaction or simply vent on the forum? You want change. Speak with your wallet. Words on this forum accomplish nothing.
