Real question. Who is merain?
I’m uneducated I’m lore, I’ll likely ask many, many questions in the near future

Merain is never really expanded upon in the lore apart from the weapon itself. All we really know about them, just like all the other weapons from the King’s Fall raid, is that they stood against Oryx and perished as a result.

Someone who stood against Oryx only to fall before the might of his armies. It’s unclear what species they belonged to, and chances are that said species no longer exists. The only species (we know of) to escape Oryx was the Eliksni, thank to the fact that Chelchis, Kell of Stone, fell during the Whirlwind.

I think the only lore on Merain is from the Smite of Merain itself. I believe that they were Cabal, but I’m not sure if even that is confirmed. And I also think the flavour text is their last words before being Taken by Oryx.

5 通の返信Smite of Merain was a pulse rifle from kings fall I think, the lore tab for the weapon would be a good start. Ishtar collective has a whole bank of lore.
