PVP Class usage

I started to watch this Youtuber "True Vanguard" (very pleasant and good player) too get better at PvP on my Warlock. After watching this video (see above), it kinda feels like that simply by choosing too play warlock I set my self / team at a disadvantage. I wont switch off from my warlock since the individual skill is still more important but the numbers makes you kinda think. So my question at the dev´s, since they 100% are aware of this numbers: Is this by design? Is this even a concern? (like Hunter where always most used, Warlocks where always less) Will there be changes? Another Vid with a focus on High End Trials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMmWg0N-9ew&t=675s And it gets even worse, some people in the community actually want too nerf pretty much the only viable pvp exotic for Locks aswell (excluding Tsteps): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjaQ1uNzim0 Sorry if I am the x guys who complains about this thing but I could not find a statement from bungie and it feels like this issue gets completely ignored in the TWAB´s.

The class you play doesn’t put you at a disadvantage. Stop letting others form your opinion for you and just play all the classes.

  • Sadly none of this is new. Bungie will probably never do anything about it. Warlock currently has some of the worst damage super, bland subclass features (or lack of features), least amount of ability uptime and power compared to the other classes, lack of actual flavor, the list goes on… What once was a glass cannon is now just glass without the cannon, and realistically only good for making a Well (even with the entire rest of that subclass being garbage apart from literally one build that is okay), creating a mind numbing and relentlessly boring play style to be any kind of effective. People will tell you JuSt UsE sTaSiS without acknowledging the fact that all three stasis subclasses are garbage compared to light 3.0, and that includes Shadebinder even in the sorry state of warlock light 3.0. Why freeze enemies when they can be killed with a vortex grenade outright in less time than it take to be frozen in the first place? The super is also just a worse version of Nova Warp which is realistically the only genuinely good ad clear super on warlock (Stormtrance is nice for duration but hits like wet noodles). In regards to flair and aspect blandness/effectiveness, look no further than Voidwalker 3.0. Both other classes have multiple ways within aspects alone of applying their buffs, as well as a way or two of giving it to the team. Warlock has one way within aspects of applying devour, and no ways of giving it to the team. Both other classes have stuff within aspects to FURTHER benefit from having their specific buff active (sentinel get melee buffs, Grenade regen, and increased OS duration, while hunter gets a weakening melee and invis activation in ANY debuffed target kill so the melee can loop it). Warlocks just get regular ol’ devour in a way that is only slightly easier that what is available on a fragment. A fragment. Nothing else. No further benefit for having it up and active. As for flair, but invis and overshield got cool new void glows, and devour got nothing. No cool aura. Bungie said themselves they want something visible happening for their aspect play as much as possible, and you’d think this would be no different. But nope, it’s just as bland as ever. The warlock isn’t the energy vampire because the Titan and hunter can fill that role just as easily while still having everything else on top of it. The warlock isn’t a master of vortexes in any way. Vortex NB even with the buffs will still be the worse of the two since that bandaid buff didn’t actually fix any of its problems. Child of the old gods is cool and all but using a vortex grenade with the weakening fragment will almost always be better/more convenient. Chaos accelerant is the worst of the Grenade buffing aspects given that it is the only one that requires a charge time, stops super regen, has only one fragment slot, and outright nerfs multiple of the options rather than making them better. Given all of the drawbacks it has to it, it should be THE MOST powerful of all of the Grenade buffing aspects. Voidwalker is a prime example of the sorry state warlock is in. The absolute bare minimum of thought put into the class and it’s abilities. The things that used to be unique were given to all classes without anything unique added to replace them. The bare minimum put into actual aspect ability power. This is playing warlock in Destiny 2. I started playing Titan and hunter (favoring Titan more) and found that not only could I create builds that fueled my space wizards fantasies but actually also did so with actual power and genuine fun. They can literally do everything a warlock can do better, and with all of their unique class specific flair on top of it. It’s mind boggling. I’ll bet people will look at this and think “wow just another person comaplinjng” but literally just look at the numbers and what is available. The warlock is bland and blatantly underpowered compared to the other two classes. Tired of popping well and having my brain rot from boredom.
