It would be cool since some guardian 'species', mainly exos, would have a pretty easy time changing gender. But if bungie was to add this feature, I reckon it should be similar to GTA Online's change appearance, where you pay virtual money to do so. Knowing bungie and all the backlash from the transmog system, it would use yet another currency added for one feature that you can use real money to buy...

You can’t change genders in D2 anymore

This has been a request since destiny 1 and bungie has pretty much ignored it that long too so may as well let that deqd horse rest. And even if they did put it in it would be a one time thing youd have to buy from eververse for 1000 silver.

They want you to keep the grind as long as possible
